4.0 BENEFICIARIES OF THE PROJECT
Form the “Nurturing Young Minds: From Trash to Treasure” program, we identified some of the stakeholders who are expected to benefit from this program and categorized into three types of beneficiaries;
- a) Beneficiaries In the short term
- b) Beneficiaries in the long term
- c) Indirect Beneficiary.
The beneficiary is classified under several critical factors, for example, their involvement and their role in the program.
Beneficiaries in the Short Term
- a) School Students.
In this upcoming program, students are the target group for achieving the program’s objectives. Benefits to be gained By engaging students in this program, they can raise awareness of the importance of rivers in eco-systems. Besides, students can spark innovations that are expected to have the potential to help the river cleaning sector in Malaysia.
- b) School Parties
In organizing the program, the schools involved also benefited especially in improving the school’s performance and raising the name of the school. The participate school’s consider getting beneficiaries as they participate in this program.
Beneficiaries in the Long Term
- a) MOST
The ministry is expected to improve the innovation created by the students involved and commercialize it for the use of agencies involved in the conservation of polluted rivers.
- b) Drainage Irrigation Department (DID)
Drainage Irrigation Department can reduce management costs to the polluted river as a result of increased the importance of clean river awareness among students and communities. Additionally, the variety of innovations created allows DID to develop their system without relying on external technology.
Indirect Beneficiary.
DEPARTMENT OF DISTRICT EDUCATION.
The education department also benefited from the launch of the program as the Department of Education was able to foster innovation among students, faculty and staff involved with the launch of IR 4.0.
