T-Mobile’s Outage
The article T-Mobile customers complain of widespread outages by Rachel Kraus discusses the outages that were experienced by the T-Mobile users, especially in the southern parts of the country, including Atlanta, Miami and parts of California. According to the article, the outages were caused by the incorporation of Sprint internet users after the merger they had in April. The article is essential in the branding and marketing of T-Mobile and Sprint business. First, the article indicates that the Sprint customers were being given access to the network. By so doing, many people will be drawn to the system as they are sure of accommodation in the network. If some customers were planning to switch networks due to anticipation of slow or low services due to the merger, they could now use the services without worry.
Also, the article indicates that the outages were due to an upgrade, which is suitable for marketing. Through the article, many customers will be drawn to mobile services are they are aware of updates where the IP vendors worked together with IP Multimedia Subsystem to add some additional safeguards that are permanent to prevent any future outages. Assurance that any possibility of a next disruption is canceled and fixed is good branding as many mobile service users may be drawn to T-Mobile (Jr, 2018). Loses that may occur due to outages will also be averted. Additionally, the article is also useful in branding and marketing as the president of T-Mobile took the initiative to accept the error. He also assured the customers that the outages are being worked on and that they will be corrected. The engineers worked on the disruptions, and by the end of the day, as assured by the president. The article was, therefore, good marketing for T-Mobile.
