SUBJECT: Online classes orientation
As a result of the ongoing pandemic, the school has formulated an online classes program to facilitate standard classes despite its predicament. It has caught the school when the current online course model is on a small scale, hence the need to formulate a new one to accommodate the whole school. Due to this, you are all required to undertake an orientation program into the online class delivery system. There will also be a set of questions to be filled. This will help facilitate more straightforward access. You, as a student, will get acquainted with the program and support the school to deliver quality services. This will require some level of computer competence, and it will be formulated as per the guidelines which will be provided. In response to this, the following are need to be observed to ensure the perfect flow of events and avoid dragging of the curriculum.
There will be an orientation program to the online classes and curriculum, which will take place on 29th March 2020 on the school premises. This orientation program will bear details on how to enroll in the classes and how to go about accessing the virtual classrooms. It will also provide you tips on how to navigate the portal, how to receive and send assignments, and how to access learning materials at your disposal. There will be books, noted and reference materials, and mock exam papers to facilitate understanding of the content. There will be a direct link between the students and the lecturers, hence the need for the email address. Online exams will also be done on this platform and are mandatory to all. Fee balances, school reports, and any news regarding the school will be conveyed through this platform, making it a crucial part of the coming days. however, before the said date is upon us
There is a questionnaire that needs filling. This can be downloaded on the student website or picked at the reception desk and needs to be carefully read understood and supplied. Carefully read the instructions on filling out the document and follow them strictly (in places you were required to write) do so and in areas where ticks are obliged to do so. Where asked to explain in more details should be filled if it applies to you). It contains laid out guidelines on what is to be written and how to go about answering it (refer to page 5, section C2). The following must be filled out as they will help enroll you into the program:
- Age
- Date of birth
- Marital status
- Gender
- Email address and other necessary information.
Once the questionnaire is done, it should be submitted either through the school email, my email, the reception desk, or personally handed to me before 25th march 2020. Earlier submission of this document will be of great importance as it will help faster enrollment. The school is due to closing, and this program is of utmost importance, hence being taken with urgency. It must be in place before the closure of the institution’s efficiency equals quality service. There is a section that needs parent signatures as well. Their contacts and email address be filled as well. Observe clear handwriting as well and avoid staining the document. It must be readable and clear. If any questions arise or there arises any difficulties in filling out the questionnaire, feel free to reach out for help. A desk will be set up between 21st march 2020 to 25th March 2020. Any concerns or submissions can also be made there.
