About methodology
After choosing the research topic, I decided to familiarize myself with all the works that had been done by other people, close and related to the topic, but not on the topic. This is called the preliminary research. I conducted secondary searches on academic databases and the general internet. First, I developed five guide questions. Then, I developed a thesis statement that would define the center of my argument. It would establish the basis of my research by giving the purpose of the study. Later, I established a research paper outline that would act as a guide to follow when doing the writing for the research paper. The outline would comprise of the key topics, critical statements, and the general flow of the paper as guided by the supervisor.
The next step would be the writing itself, which would be guided by the outline. The writing was comprised of paragraphs that would explain the main ideas. The important topics or ideas on writing would be comprised; The Introduction, Literature review, Research question, Thesis, Methodology and data analysis, Findings, conclusion, and the profound recommendations. Tables and graphs would be used to explain specific dynamics, especially in the methodology section, where the research paper becomes more technical. The sections e.g., findings, conclusion, and recommendation, would follow the usual paraphrasing format that would see each paragraph explain the main idea.
The first writing comprised of the rough draft that represented all the work done on the research. The second writing would comprise of the fine-tuning and presented to the supervisor for confirmation. Afterward, I did a revision on the entire research work done on the research paper following a checklist that would ensure that everything is done according to the outline
