It is indeed true that Erin Andrew’s privacy invasion case reveals that Barrett recorded Andrew’s nude video somewhat with the help of the hotel management, without her knowledge. Andrew becomes aware only when the video went viral, causing her discomfort in her personal and public life, which emotionally affected her health and the overall well-being. Although Andrew filed the subsequent lawsuits against Barret and the hotel management and Barret for filming her, not even Barrett imprisonment nor the victim pay can be equated to the damage caused by the video. Therefore, hotel operators must heighten their privacy measures not only for their reputation but also for the sake of guest well-being.
