Question 1
Communities are composed of people with different attributes irrespective of the set standards. With the difference in the interpersonal and contextual approach, some community members tend to go against the code of the community. In the end, it affects the way of living through the daily interaction of the members within the community. It is therefore important that community health works devolve an approach that can help deal with any health threat. The best approach for the diversification of a community will be through interaction with different members. The focus however is on the key stakeholders such as leaders within the community. It helps one to collect enough data about the community that is used in dealing with any health risk. The limitation of the information however is that human beings are subject to change. It is therefore important to have information that tracks the entire trends of members within the said community.
Question 2
Community capacity will not only depend on the group’s responsibility but rather on individual thinking. Within a community solving a problem will depend on the kind of people and their thoughts towards the code of the community. Therefore in solving any issues it is important that the members of the public are involved in setting standards. Getting information and putting it together can be sure a way of helping empower the people. However, the decision will depend on the community principle and the ability to implement change.
Module Two
Question 1
There are two main health models which are the health belief and educational model. The former model has its strengths which include that it deals with the cognitive of an individual which will help one making decisions. The disadvantage is that it does not help individuals who have high effects on mental health. It is therefore difficult for the model to be applied to these people. The educational approach is better considered by the fact that it allows an individual to make an informed decision. In addition to that does not seem to persuade an individual decision. The weakness is that an individual health decision is complex and needs to be addressed accordingly.
Question 2
In a community with diverse people and individual health, communication can be made possible by the use of influencers. In passing the message to the people content can well reach them through influencers. The influencers in the case include people like musicians, comedians, and community leaders. In addition to that with the development and growth in technology the use of social media to get the information is also key. The platforms have a large following and using them to communicate will be important because of the big audience they command.
Module Three
Question 1
Overweight and obesity are caused mostly by the kind of life that an individual chose to live. However, the cause is mostly from the environment with which one lives and this is a major contributor. Therefore understanding the environment will help an individual to know the major predisposing factor to the disease. Once one has known the predisposing factor they are in a big position of taking control of the disease. It will help to reduce the increased cases of the disease among the people. In addition to that getting information about the disease is important as it will help the individual to know what can be possible medication to the disease.
Question 2
Screening programs are key and important in helping to deal with the problems associated with the disease. It is mainly in line with pandemics that may affect the entire world and cause more danger and problems. It is important that dealing with the problem one has to take care of the information that they collect. The information that is collected is used to assess past cases and trends within the health sector. With that in place, the health of human beings will be put to priority and hence reduction in the pandemics.
