Dea Valencia Budiarto
Dea Valencia Budiarto was born in the village of Gombel, Semarang, Central Java on February 14, 1994. Since childhood, Dea Valencia has been an academically intelligent child. How not, at the age of 15 years he had finished high school where the average Indonesian child had just finished high school at the age of 17 or 18 years.
After completing his education in high school, Dea continued her education at Multimedia Nusantara University, majoring in Information Systems. And at the age of only 18 years, Dea has completed college. His first batik design was made by Dea at the age of 16, who at that time was made by accident.
Dea initially accidentally saw a batik product and immediately fell in love with the batik product. However, due to the lack of funds, Dea failed to buy the batik cloth that she liked.
The limited cost does not make Dea give up to get a batik dress. He then racked his brain how to make his own batik shirt of his dreams.
From the results of dismantling the cupboard and collecting a few pieces of used batik clothes that are worn out, Dea’s creative hands immediately work cutting, embroidering, and being creative with the used batik clothes. da unique from a Dea Valencia Budiarto. Although she had to design and make various batik fashion herself, it turned out that Dea could not draw at all. Though a clothing designer must be able to draw, at least with the simplest sketches.
To overcome this weakness, Dea is looking for a designer who can translate the design patterns in her brain or imagination into a real fashion design.
Fashion products made by Dea are generally in a contemporary style, which combines traditional and modern elements.
Dea’s principle is that the product must be fashionable, not weird, and liked by her. So if he doesn’t like it, it will be difficult to convince others to buy the clothes.
With batik designs that are simple, cool, and up-to-date, Batik Culture products are increasingly accepted by the public, especially millennial youth.
Dea Fashion Products had Stumbled over Copyright Issues
Like no success can be achieved without a stumbling block. Likewise, the Dea Valencia Budiarto fashion business.
At the beginning of its establishment, Dea did not directly use the Batik Kultur brand. The initial name of Dea’s fashion product was Batik Sinok.
Because when Dea is still young, it turns out that the name Sinok Batik has been registered by another business developer. This made the Batik Sinok business developer sue Dea Valencia for alleged copyright infringement. The 19-year-old Daea was immediately shocked and down instantly. The batik business was even stopped for a week because they had to resolve this brand name dispute.
Luckily, in the end the problem of copyright infringement can be resolved properly. Dea finally changed its brand to Batik Kultur. Unexpectedly, the name Batik Kultur became a blessing for Dea’s business.
