Texas Reality Check
In the future, the minimum amount I require to cater for the expenses is 87,270 dollars a year (Texas Reality Check, 2016). The desired lifestyle for the future is to own a one-bedroom apartment, always eat at home or dine out occasionally, have at least a used automobile, own basics, and work clothes and accessories, have a basic individual health care insurance. When it comes to personal health care, I desire to be able to afford personal and professional service and pay off my bachelor student loan. Use fun bundles for entertainment, pay for vacations, and buy furniture and appliances for the house. I desire to raise a family with two children and save 5 percent of my income. A registered nurse working one is likely to earn roughly 80,160 dollars as an annual salary, indicating that my nursing career will not fully cater to my lifestyle. Due to my level of income and my desired lifestyle in the future, I plan to do blogging and healthcare writing, which are great ways of earning extra income as companies reach out for nurses to promote their products and services.
Location
The cost of living for my desired lifestyle in Houston is 87,270 dollars. In Texarkana, it is 79,350 dollars while in San Antonio. It is 84,225 dollars (Cost of Living: How Far Will My Salary Go in Another City? – CNNMoney, 2014). The cost of living in Houston is much more expensive compared to both Texarkana and San Antonio. Texarkana is the least costly among the three. The housing in Houston is very affordable as the average price of a home is 140,300 dollars with zoning that is favorable compared to Texarkana and San Antonio, making it a significant factor, especially with the intentions of starting a family. I would still like to live in Houston as it is more diverse and less segregated. Despite its affordability challenge, Houston is the largest organization for healthcare, which is favorable for my career. It is the number one city for job opportunities, making it to have an unemployment rate that is low in comparison to the national employment rates. International trade has led to the town proliferating.
