In learning institutions, some sanctions remind students that bad behavior is noticeable and punishable. The schools deal with this in various ways with policies and procedures. The first one is behavior policy which reminds the staff of the actions they require to apply when managing a child’s behavior. The staff members also need to use it consistently and familiarize themselves with it.
Dealing with inappropriate behavior and conflict in a school is another way since the institution will acquire guidance on how to handle complex behavior. In this way, the teacher will be able to identify the action to take concerning a certain behavior a student displays. This enables the students to follow the rules of the school strictly to avoid punishment.
Rewards and sanctions are another way of promoting a child’s positive behavior. When a pupil is good and has a positive attitude he is capable of receiving awards for acting as a role model to the other students. They make a pupil feel safe as if they go through any intimidation, they will remember it is against the rules so telling it the staff members, they will know it to be solved in the right manner. Through that, the tormenters will also be given a sanction to correct them and remind them to behave well. The set policies help the pupils to make the right choice according to the school rules and regulations. Students receive rewards after behaving well which encourages them to have positive contributions. Helping students have confidence develops the social and emotional skills of the pupils. It helps the pupils be more open with the safe environment teachers create. Giving the pupils a clear comprehension of what the teachers expect and the consequences if they go wrong enables the pupils to notice what they are allowed to do and what they should not do.

If all the staff is applying similar strategies and principles to all the pupils they talk to, the students are most likely to respond and follow the rules of their learning institution. Through this, the student’s behavior changes, and the pupils realize how they should behave in the school. With the backing staff also, they are similarly respected as the teaching staff who ought to follow this rule in the school and ensure they steadily talk about the school rules.
- a) Explain the benefits of actively promoting positive aspects of behavior
When encouraging a positive behavior to the children, the children may copy and show the behavior as well. It is useful because the children behave in a manner highly respected by the adults and the rest. Encouraging aspects of constructive behavior by disregarding negative behavior and rewarding positive behavior shows the children they are most likely to acquire attention with good conduct. You need to remain calm in every situation. Ensure you are consistent with your use of suitable language. Make sure you use positive responses when talking to the children. A teacher rewarded a pupil with an extra ten minutes of playtime because the child behaved well.
- d) Explain how you would be an effective role model for the standards of behavior expected of children, young people, and adults within the setting.
You need to show respect and teach empathy to others. Every teacher desires to see others being kind. This goal is attained when you perfect respect in your life. As a teacher, you need to be respectful to every person you interact with and soon the people will copy your behavior.
