A paradigm refers to the essential concepts that define the human way of life. It is believed to change from time to time goes by. For a paradigm shift to occur, it has to be catalyzed by occurrences of some events. After it is proved to be better, it is adopted for future use, and the previous culture is dropped and left for reference. An excellent example of a paradigm that has happened is the way business transactions take place. Previously business transactions involved a lot of paperwork where everything had to be done manually, and a lot of follow-ups had to be done before a deal was complete. It is very different in comparison with the introduction of technology in the business. People can now pay for goods and services via credit cards through swiping or through bank transfer.
Currently, almost all business records are stored and kept in their soft copy form; it has been preferred as it allows easy retrieval of data and reduced paperwork handled by workers at the end of the day. The catalyst to this paradigm was the desire to have a better system that makes work easier for people in the work stations through allowing them easy access to documents no matter how long they came into existence. Technology implementation offered the right needs to business institutions at that moment; hence it has been adopted. It now became the culture of every organization to incorporate technology into their systems, allowing their intercommunication. It is only odd to find a business that has not advanced in technology through automation of their systems. It also included the use of mails to send messages directly and instantly instead of the use of post mail enhancing business deals.
