Small and medium-sized enterprises
Small and medium-sized enterprises in India have grown and helped build employment, increase GDP, and boost national export value, following a decade of policy-reforming and growth of the multi-sector market economy. Nonetheless, the significant issues of SMEs’ financial management challenges include inadequate record-keeping, inefficient use of accounting information to promote financial decision-making, and low quality and reliability of financial information. It also places small and medium-sized companies at hurdles in their operations. This thesis examines how financial management practices and the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises impact the performance of SMEs.
