Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is are deep-rooted practices amongst African culture. No one should the right to interfere with other customs as long as their practice does not violate constitutional rights. one member of society can have a moral intervention on other customs but in a polite way to enlighten the culture using better tips to convince the other culture how their practices especially FGM is harmful.
What makes us right and them wrong
The determination of what makes us right or wrong is based on conscience and the constitutional right as well as the value that human practice is globally accepted but it contracts their culture. For example Emotions like empathy, compassion, fairness, and gratitude make us feel the positive side of the situation if we act upon it makes us feel we are right. On the other hand, if the emotions are guilt, embarrassment, fear, and shame it tells us we are wrong.
What if some African nations said that the U.S custom of circumcising males is wrong and wanted the United Nations to take action
Male circumcision is a religious and cultural practice that is practiced by almost every religion and upholds some moral implications that do not violate any people’s morals. It is acceptable practices. Universally it has been proven to be health practice and promotes health and sexual pleasure and the world health organization has proven it to be universal
