Planned Behavior Theory
Planned behavior theory provides more information about the behavior patterns thus making it easy to understand the product of conditioned behaviors. This article shows the mothers’ intentions to vaccine their daughters as well as the attitudes associated with the behavior. HPV is a serious disease that affects young girls between the age of 14 and 19 years and the vaccine is very low thus making the risk perception to be low (Askelson et al.,2010). Therefore, there is a need for mothers to know the risk associated with failure to vaccine the daughters with the HPV vaccine and the stigma that may be encountered b their daughter in case the public knows about it. Additionally, there is a need to sensitize people that the vaccine does not cause diseases. Finally, mothers need to be taught the benefits associated with the vaccination to appreciate it fully which empowers them to make a firm decision on ensuring that the daughters are vaccinated theory of planning behavior relates well to the issue of low response on both the mothers and adolescents about the vaccination approach.
