Briefly describe your big idea
The big idea I am set to create is to introduce a New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant in Germany. The restaurant will offer delicious wood-smoked meats, pork, brisket, and cut to order services in Germany which has never been witnessed before. The aim of my big idea which is the creation of a New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant in Germany is to introduce new cooking techniques to the people of Germany who only knows the existence of The American BBQ Restaurant but lacks the true and real tastes of the American BBQ flavors such as the real cuts of pork infused with spice. My objective is to ensure the people of Germany take great pride in my warm, delicious, and exemplary services over the coming years. Besides the meat, pork, and briskets, I plan to introduce a variety of American salads, sand witches, gluten-free, and beverages to accommodate Germans or individuals with dietary restrictions. This will not only increase my sales and income but also increase the number of customers because my services will accommodate everyone, even those with restrictions. Additionally, I will ensure all the dishes are healthy, served in an American style, and prepared by seasoned dry fruits and nut wood. Similarly, to avoid complaints that may arise from customers on the whereabouts of meat consumed, I plan to export all foodstuff from America to Germany using reliable and trusted supplies. This will help me to have a secret recipe and unique tastes in my food offer that can not be found anywhere in Germany apart from The New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant. (Nair, Creating Value), explains that the most important thing is meeting the needs of all customers. Satisfied customers will always return. Therefore, dealing with a section of customers without considering those with dietary restrictions is not healthy for the business.
Is it entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial?
This big idea is entrepreneurial. This is because it involves the launch of a new business service to make substantial profits in Germany. This is evident because I am introducing a new service and products to the German market. Additionally, I consider this idea entrepreneurial because it has been proved in the American market and seen to be effective and profitable by individuals operating the American BBQ Restaurants.
What problem does it solve?
The problem this big idea will solve is the lack of real and true American BBQ Restaurants in Germany. Over the past years, the people of Germany have known the existence of the American BBQ Restaurants within their country but it is not the original and true American BBQ Restaurants. For instance, the people of Germany believe that all the American BBQ flavors are made using Paprika spice. This is a total lie because the true and real the American BBQ flavors are prepared using numerous spices not Paprika only. According to Martin, customers have unclear and changing tastes with time, their tastes equally change. Therefore, introducing new food offers under the flag of the American BBQ Restaurant, cooked slowly, and properly with different spices will not only attract customers to the new restaurant but also change their beliefs that BBQ restaurants are only using one common spice to prepare all their flavors.
Why doesn’t it exist in the market?
The reason why a real and true American BBQ Restaurant does not exist in Germany is that the individuals living in Germany do not have the real skills and knowledge on how to operate and manage the American BBQ Restaurants. This begins from the low-quality BBQ flavors prepared in German by BBQ Restaurants to lack of proper mentorship and inexperienced restaurant owners who are not only making huge mistakes but are also not keeping all responsibilities and the requirements of the American BBQ Restaurants. According to Murdock & Varnes (2018), it takes sacrifice, experience, and proper mentorship for businesses like restaurants to be successful. Without such qualities, restaurants can’t survive.
What do you find exciting about this idea?
What I find exciting about this idea is that restaurants should be started as a passion project which is full of hope, way, and possibility. Also, it should be a new and original idea that is acceptable by most people like the launching of a New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant in Germany. Due to this, I have developed a lot of interest, I see the possibility and I do have hope with this idea. This is because I have been holding several talks and meetings with my family members from Germany about starting a New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant in Germany and they are ready and willing to support me fully. Additionally, I find this idea interesting and exciting because starting a New Authentic American BBQ Restaurant in Germany, will remove the beliefs such as Paprika is the only spice that all BBQ Restaurants are using globally in cooking all there flavors. Also, there are no major or serious competitors for this idea in the German market.
