Mars Pathfinder mission
The mission by the Mars Pathfinder was to discover whether there was any evidence of life on the planet. They were to examine the situ evidence and make a conclusion of whether Mars, the Red planet supports life. There is sand on the planet all over. This suggests that bit was once rich in water which could have supported life.
Possibility of life in Mars
The Red Planet was discovered to be possibly supported life in the past years. The planet has a hospitable climate according to the Pathfinder Mars report. They found proof of life on the planet. According to the truth unveiled is that Mars is ever cold and there are rivers trapped.
Criteria used
The Pathfinder Mars of 1997 was a new experience. There were no defined scientific criteria they could use. Thus the Pathfinder mass used general criteria. For instance one of the suggestion was to use airbags on landing. This was aimed at reducing shock.
