In handling this pandemic, scientists have proposed measures that are important to protect nurses and doctors from the virus The interaction has come up with strategies of reducing the spread of the virus into the healthcare workers (Heghani et al., 2020). Interviews also justify the importance of the police as part of the essential worker is executing their daily duties (Cheng et al., 2020). Generally, an interdisciplinary approach to covid-19 is important in protecting health professionals in their line of duty.
Evidence-based interdisciplinary issues
The spread of the covid-19 virus from patients to healthcare workers has deterred the fight against the pandemic. According to the interview, scientists have championed the use of protective gear on healthcare practitioners to prevent contracting the virus. Evidence shows more than 90,000 health practitioners are infected with the virus. The multi-disciplinary approach champions the use of PPEs and N-95 masks reduce the spread of covid-19 in the infectious disease units in hospitals. This research from scientists is vital in the interdisciplinary approach method to help reduce the spread of the virus (Haghani et al., 2020). Generally, the interview justifies the evidence in protection through the use of protective gear among healthcare givers. Interviews also show a piece of evidence that the scientific research on treating patients from the virus and the execution of measures which reduce its spread. This integration of scientific researchers and healthcare professionals is important to the achievement of the goals of the government.
Leadership strategies and interdisciplinary solution
The change theory of nursing champions for the unfreezing-change-refreeze among the leaders to learn new approaches (Cheng et al., 2020). In this case, the health practitioners and scientists should be ready to learn from each other first before developing strategies to curb covid-19. The leadership strategy of working together is essential in curbing the spread of covid-19. The application of change theory in this time of the virus will attract an array of interdisciplinary issues through learning as a group for a common purpose. For instance, police officers are also an important part of applying social distancing among citizens. In this case, the situational theory plays an important role in bringing people from different professions together.

Networking and effective communication will play an essential role in improving collaboration and eventually success in interdisciplinary matters. Effective horizontal communication helps in improving networking among people of the involved disciplines. Communication among the individuals of the disciplines will maintain the focus and working to reduce the spread of the virus (Landry et al., 2020). For instance, effective horizontal communication between nurses and researchers will expose arising issues on the pandemic. The application of situational theory will also help interdisciplinary focus on health professionals to succeed. generally, collaboration in research through networking and effective communication will help in steering the firms to success. The collaboration can involve all healthcare givers dealing with the pandemic in the entire world. The application of a collaborative approach can be evident through the integration of all the essential services while handling the covid-19 pandemic and the general population. Therefore, collaboration through effective communication and networking of the essential workers will help to reduce the spread.
