Childcare is surrounded by many contemporary issues in the society which are mostly associated with the sociology of children and the alternative viewpoints in child development. The issues of identity, language, culture, and pedagogy are some of the issues that still challenge child care especially during the early stages of a child’s life. Child’s brains are built through early exposure to language, social, emotional, and physical education. The quality of the relationship between the child and those caring for them is the major determinant of childcare and developmental milestones (Clark, 2020). Therefore, to make childcare a success, there is a need to offer training to the childcare teachers and the caregivers. The misalignment between the expectation of early childhood educators and the parent makes the mothers opt to bring up the children on themselves.

Though the role of childhood educators in society is fundamental, the parents find it challenging to gather resources necessary to award their work. The resources necessary to provide the educators with all the requirements needed in the process are simply not enough. The government investments on childcare are just not sufficient to support early childhood educators. As a result, childhood educators are largely poorly paid and under-appreciated but still expected to make an impact on the process of growth and development of the children. There are not enough resources to provide educators with what they require to improve the quality of children’s care they can provide.

Inadequate fund causes the quality of child care to vary from one preschool to another. Limited resources deny the preschool teachers chance to enjoy the technological advancement to provide enhancement experiences to the developing children. The educators are pushed to endure crowded classes, insufficient play areas for the children, and sufficient special attention to each child (Shertiel, 2018). Underpaid early childhood educators feel unvalued and may feel demotivated or feel that their work is unrewarding. If they don’t have other career paths, they may end up providing substandard services thus affect the growth and development process of the children (Shertiel, 2018). Talented preschool educators are lost to other careers as they are still ambitious to improve their lives.

The solution to these problems must be sought if parents and the government are willing to bring up more energetic children. The government should take the initiative of allocating enough funds to the early childhood care sector. The budget should also target unemployed parents who decide to bring up their children rather than taking them to a daycare facility at a very small age. The government can offer a solution to the suffering of the children by increasing the payment of the teachers. They should also improve school technology, spacing, and finally employ enough teachers to minimize the number of children per educator (Shertiel, 2018). The parents should motivate early childhood educators by rewarding them and appreciating how important their work is to society.

In conclusion, the main problem affecting childcare is poor parenting. The majority of the mothers are expected to attend to their workplaces soon after delivery. Absent mothers affect child development thus they must help the early childhood educators to step up to help them if they are committed elsewhere (Schochet, 2019). The teachers should be rewarded and provided with necessary resources which will improve the quality of care hence facilitating the child’s physical and mental development. Children’s environments should be favorable to promote their growth and developmental milestone.
