ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN INDONESIA
The electricity system in Indonesia cannot be separated from the so-called transformer, which is an important equipment that serves to raise and lower the voltage so that electricity generated from power plants can reach the community. In the transformer there is an oil or oil that serves to maintain the reliability of the transformer from damage that can be caused by the influence of overheat, short circuit, or even a flashover that occurs in the active part of the transformer. Therefore in this paper discussed about the simulation of transformer damage where using 2 methodologies namely by firing BDV (breakdown voltage) repeatedly and using a simulation of dipping hot solder on the transformer oil sample in order to find out what gas content appears in the transformer oil when a flashover or arcing disturbance occurs. The results of the analysis show that after testing the BDV and solder dipped directly to obtain results where the ___ gas content is high and the ___ gas is increased. This is due to the arc jumps that occur in the transformer oil so that the combustion process occurs and changes in the chemical structure in the oil content tested.
