Writing Sources on the Effects of COVID-19 to Learning Institutions

When writing a research project, it is a requirement for students to research credible and reputable sources to aid in presenting logical ideas as well as supportive claims from reputable researchers. In my current MO1, 2, 3 research project assignments, I have been focusing on the topic of the effects of COVID-19 on learning institutions. During the MO2 assignment, I developed my annotated bibliography regarding the probable sources or references I intent to use in m final paper. As Ballenger puts it, not all sources provided in the annotated bibliography or listed on the reference page are directly inclusive in the final paper; some of the sources can be directly quoted, paraphrased, or used to integrate into the paper to strengthen the argument. In this write-up, I will categorize the sources into the three functionalities mentioned.

Which ones are most important?

The most important sources for my paper are those that have the potential to support and strengthen my thesis statement. These sources must be included in the paper as quotes and paraphrases. I have already talked about then in my annotated bibliography, therefore, I will list them here;

Which need to be quoted?

When a source is important to a research study, it is essential to incorporate some of the ideas, claims and results in the paper by providing quotes. The quotes strengthen the paper as well as supporting the thesis. These are the sources I must quote in my paper;

Which can be merely paraphrased?

Paraphrasing an idea from a source does not imply that it is not useful; it shows that I have articulated the ideas logically, synthesized it, and wrote it according to my understanding. Therefore, some of the sources I will paraphrase include;

Are any ultimately not going to end up in your paper?

I believe that all the sources I have provided are essential to my research project. Therefore, I am certain that I will ultimately use all the sources in my paper.
