SpaceX
SpaceX is an American company that deals with aerospace manufacturing and space transportation services. The company headquarter is located in Hawthorne California. SpaceX was founded by Elon Musk in 2002 to reduce space transportation costs and also to enable them the colonization of Mars. It has developed various objects to help them achieve their missions. Those objects are launch vehicles, the Starlink satellite constellation, and also the Dragon spacecraft. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to discuss the goals, achievements, and accidents. The study will also discuss the ownership, funding, and valuation of the SpaceX.
Through its operations, the SpaceX has made various achievements. These achievements include building the first privately funded liquid-propellant rocket used to reach the orbit, sending of spacecraft to the international space station, and launching orbiting and discovering of a spacecraft. Other achievements made are being the first private company to launch a spacecraft to orbit around the sun. They are also the first company to send it astronauts to the space international station. Also, they are the first to re-launch and land the first stage of an orbital rocket. They launched the third Starlink project in January 2020 making them the largest commercial satellite constellation operator in the world.
