His and Her Health
Men and women have differences when it comes to their bodies. Research done has outlooked women and tend to concentrate more on me. The most concentrated topic is the reproductive system, and therefore other illnesses are overlooked. This has led to women being susceptible to other diseases, including depression and heart diseases. In a population, almost 70% of women are diagnosed with depression and 30% of which are misdiagnosed (Paula). Women face a higher risk of suffering from depression, and this comes after one show sign of anxiety and unmatched sleep patterns. Men are not at a higher risk compared ed to women as the number of men diagnosed with depression is low.
Depression has also been identified as the highest cause of disability in women than in men. This is because both men and women have sex differences that lead to differences in their brain. Women health has not been put into consideration for some time. This is because every research that is carried out in either human or animals, the male gender is used. Therefore, scientists need to think and care about women health. they have to establish research that will help determine whether a disease should be approached in the same way in women and men.
It has also been revealed that women are more likely to suffer from lung cancer, even without being smokers (Paula). A woman who is a non-smoker is at a high risk of suffering from lung cancer than a male who is also a non-smoker. This is due to the different levels of estrogen in their bodies. Estrogen has a different impact on suppressing lung cancer and can give significant and different results in lung cancer treatment.
