Transporting to and from different people from distinctive places marked the beginning of traveling history. Initially, inter trading between unlike tribes was very discreet. But as the human population grew, the demand for necessities also raised. People began to journey on foot in search of food, water, and shelter. But it was difficult to travel by foot to distant places, and weather changes were also troublesome. So, humankind began to use animals like horses, donkeys, etcetera for long journeys.

 

With the wheel’s invention, it became much more comfortable to trek with more persons and more luggage. Horse carriages were the dominant transport in the past until the 18th century when the railway was inaugurated; this made traveling much more accessible and comfortable. Ships were also widely used for overseas voyages. These ships carried goods from one place to another and vice versa. Overseas journeys brought new cultures from new lands. In the late 18th century, the first gas-powered automobile was invented. This evolution made buying transports quickly for private uses. And the final significant means of the portage, the airplane came into being in the early 19th century and dominated the overseas journeys.

 

Nowadays, people are traveling on a massive scale around the globe. These journeys include tourism and leisure, business traveling, or visiting loved ones. Thousands of containers are daily loaded and unloaded on ports worldwide. Small boats are used for leisure and short journeys, such as from the mainland to the island.
