Education and Social Media
The research problem addressed by the article is the importance of employing social media in higher education courses to provide information as well as engage educators and students in ways that were not possible in the past. The hypothesis offered by the article seems to relate to the results of the research presented in the report. Precisely, the premise of the study is that no significant problems in mechanisms or working were documented. Moreover, instructors and students have archaeologically existed in both the usage of technology and consumption of media.
The stages of the research study were conducted by obtaining and taking information from questionnaires, preliminary survey, and sources. It was undertaken in Universitas Buddhi Dharma to ensure the effectiveness or success of the study. The success of the study was also guaranteed by including both students and instructors. The age of the students ranged from eighteen to thirty-five years.
In the analysis of data, the first step entailed of assessing the consistency of the social media along with questionnaires being presented to enhance appearance and validity of the content. The data gathered from the research was presented in tables with standard deviations and means of the various variables being indicated.
The study concludes that even if social media backs types of knowledge construction and knowledge utilization, the learners may ask the instructors on Facebook regarding the subject principles. In response, the instructors can offer explanation and instruction through the same social media platform. Founded on the outcome from independent t-test regarding questionnaires, the study discovered that there is a positive manner of utilizing social media. The utilization of social media in education can bring about enhanced inclusiveness for students, even though the role of instructors has to be well backed to establish effective digital pedagogies.
