The quality of chatbots depends on how it has been programmed. If chatbots are properly programmed, then they will carry out a perfect job. The superiority or inferiority of a chatbot is determined by how much an organization invests in leasing or acquiring it.
- Discuss the financial benefits of chatbots.
The financial benefits of chatbots are embedded in the fact that chatbots facilitate client experience by creating a platform. This conversation platform allows enterprises to maintain quick and effective contact with their customers at any given time. Once clients benefit from these platforms, they are inclined to promote and buy a certain brand. Chatbots, therefore, supplement human efforts in terms of fostering customer experience. Besides, chatbots save time and improve the quality of services offered. It is beyond no doubt that they improve quality and increase productivity.
- Discuss how IBM Watson will reach 1 billion people by 2018 and what the implications of that are.
IBM Watson will reach 1 billion people by 2018 through the use of smartphone technology. The 21st century has witnessed an increased use of these devices. The company has incorporated the use of chatbots that are enhanced with a neural network made up of more than 1 billion words to reach as many people as possible (Sharda et al., 2020). IBM has numerous development tools that are offered for free. the tools include iOS SDK, Python SDK, Node SDK, and Java SDK. The implications include service improvement, weather forecasting capabilities, best and quality treatment, and improved customer experience.

- Compare the chatbots of Facebook and WeChat. Which has more functionalities?
Facebook’s chatbots allow users and businesses to conduct text exchanges. The chatbots are advanced to give correct responses by assessing the user’s input. The M tool integrated into facebook’s chatbots allows users to execute various tasks such as sending flowers and ordering foods. However, WeChat’s chatbots have more functionalities considering that they offer more services than facebook’s chatbots. Through WeChat’s chatbots, users can be able to clear water bills, hail a taxi, order food, engage and communicate with clients, book hotels, and flight among many others.
- Research the role of chatbots in helping patients with dementia.
Chatbots allow patients with dementia to talk to it and the chatbot can recognize differences that exist in the speech patterns. With this ability, it becomes easier to detect memory impairment. Also, Chatbots allow physicians and family members to assess communication logs and effectively diagnose deterioration of the memory (Bulla et al., 2020).
- Microsoft partners with the government of Singapore to develop chatbots for e-services. Find out how this is done.
To develop chatbots for e-services in Singapore, three phases will be implemented. Phase one will involve the use of a vast database. These databases will be used to generate answers for the users’ factual questions about the chosen public services. Phase two will involve the expansion of chatbots’ capability to assist the users to finish simple transactions and tasks within government-related websites. Phase three will be about advancing the chatbots to allow them to respond to users’ personalized questions and queries.
