They should also promote healthy behaviors in a community as they prevent the spread of diseases, especially communicable conditions. The government should organize and create measures for avoiding environmental hazards. Also, they should hold and prepare response teams towards emergencies to assure a healthy system. Air pollution is the biggest challenge that government agencies face in regulating environmental hazards. Air pollution is considered as the most significant environmental risk by WHO.

To reduce the impacts of environmental hazards, people should understand the hazards while identifying the pathways that affect the environment. The source of hazard results from a source or origin from existing or proposed activities.
