Climate is the weather condition induced in a given region or a place for a very long time. Climate migration that is also known as “climate refugees” is a group of environmental migrants who were forced to flee from their natural habitat due to natural gradual changes occurring in the natural environment as a result of climate change such as drought, the sudden increase in sea-level and extreme weather events in these regions (Change, 2014). Dealing with long term gradual climate changes that result from unfavorable human-environmental practices such as careless deforestation due to overpopulation, nuclear proliferation and global poverty. Humanity has taken several actions to prevent human practices that has resulted to the factors that caused this climate migration.
International population growth management has been considered as way to handle climate migration. With this rapidly expanding population of the world that is considered to be overcrowding in some countries different ideas and rules such as family planning, better health care and mass education to show the world the future outcomes if they are not implied on environment if not considered. This rapid increase in population will also subject our countries to straining on their natural resources hence preventing it should be a worth risk.
Implementation of treaties on the non-proliferation of Nuclear weapons and comprehensive test ban of nuclear weapons is acquired just prevent the used nuclear weapons that has severe impact on climate hence encouraging climate migration. If these weapons are available in our countries, then there will be no means to prevent those states from using during war.
International Terrorism prevention acts is also one of the major cause of climate refugees since weapons of mass destruction are carelessly used on natural environment for once religious differences as well as public despair. To prevent these from continuously occurring. International laws on states to promote a common ideology among their people as well as to discourage political separation. Hence promoting global peace is maintained.
With all these efforts it is arguable that humanity is well prepared to handle these long term challenges of climatic migration since all the programs, projects, laws, and treaties regarding environmental conservation globally can be comfortably managed since the main causes of climate refugees can be prevented regerding the previous experiences.
Climate migration is a process that takes some duration for it to be noted nationally or globally but such be considered a threat to humanity. In order for this challenge of climate migration to be considered a threat to humanity in the future, international clashes such as Americans and Asians over technology, Europeans and Americans over the matter that they can solve by finding a common settlement on their disputes. With these disputes aside to achieve a unified fight against can easily be considered to save the world. States should develop a new paradigm of learning as well as decision-making on how to identify and adapt to these climate changes will help and speed the process. This will help to considered climate migration a priority since its effects can be identified hence making it priority under there norms and interests.
To manage these challenges of “climate refugees” that has slowly affected our natural habitats need to adhere to some new policies to help control such crisis. Currently, almost all countries are work on several ways to earn world respect either through the development of new technology as well as lethal war weapons. Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear weapons should be made global this will in use of nuclear weapons on other countries. Nuclear arms control agreements to prevent unnecessary test and use of these arms on the environments since nuclear poses and causes the greatest destruction on the environment which yield to climate migration.
States should have a common and unified ideology as well as a political autonomy to prevent acts of terrorism both local and international. Individual states should encourage practices like effective family planning, better health care, and mass media education to control the rapidly growing population of the world. Global states should also find a common ground to settle their power rivalry to have a unified common ground. Countries should also elect leaders who can provide adequate governance and prevent other internal factors to cube poverty in these states.
The identity of the state entails the views, objectives (interests), characteristics of the peoples as well as practices of that given state. These objectives or interests help identify a given state. To achieve this issue of cubing climate migration.
