Subject: Invitation to Join International Cooperative Entrepreneurship Think Tank (ICETT)
I am writing to invite CIC Group Ltd to join the International Cooperative Entrepreneurship Think Tank (ICETT). ICETT is an ICA think tank established in October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after the ICA Board approved it. ICETT aims to elaborate strategic thinking on carefully selected topics to enhance the competitive advantage in cooperative entrepreneurship within the ICA Strategic Plan framework and at sharing its outputs with ICA and the cooperative movement. It focuses on cooperative entrepreneurship and all matters that can be analyzed and debated from this specific angle; Its participants come from large cooperatives or cooperative groups, namely from the cooperative entrepreneurial world. Final papers elaborated within ICETT will be made available to the whole ICA membership.
ICETT has held three meetings so far and meets regularly physically or online. The next ICETT meeting will be held online on 15 September 2020. ICETT members have begun working on an array of topics, such as the future of work, human rights in value chains, international cooperative business strategies, reinforcement of entrepreneurial groups among cooperatives, SDGs applied to large cooperatives and cooperative groups, members response to COVID-19 pandemic, climate action and the cooperative identity vs. business competitiveness among others.
These topics will be covered during the 33rd World Cooperative Congress “Strengthening our Cooperative Identity”, which will be held next year in Seoul, Korea, and ICETT will actively participate in it.
ICETT members should be able to generate employment for at least 1000 persons, have a turnover of at least 100,000 USD, and be operating in two or more countries or be active in two or more different activities. They are requested to contribute 15 000 € as an annual contribution.
Therefore, I would like to propose that CIC join ICETT to share knowledge with other large cooperatives and cooperative groups and share your expertise in cooperative entrepreneurship and innovation.
