Comparative Public Management Research Review
Public management is a term that whenever it is pronounced, a bell rings in mind on the managerial activities within public organizations. It is in parts tied to the action of implementing the policies postulated by the government. Students who pursue this disciple are adequately trained in implementing these policies and making public sectors flow smoothly (Common, 2017). Major researches that are done in this field entails various processes and actions undertaken by the public sectors in comparing how public reforms can be beneficial to states that practice such reforms. This paper purposes of providing a detailed review of the article on the role of agriculture based on the evolution of taxation and the state while based the review on carefully sought evidence.
The article on agriculture’s role argued based on taxation, and state evolution uses a mixed research method. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods are utilized in the study (Morse, 2016). Qualitative research implies the application of reason and aims to describe the presented situation, and it is exploratory in the nature-for example, the article highlights its main theme of analyzing the conditions that ascertain if any particular state would be either predatory or developmental (Grabowski, 2011). On the other hand, it is also quantitative research because it uses numbers to evaluate evidence on the developmental and predatory aspects of a state’s progress. For example, the research lays down figures to show the agricultural performance of the state of China.
The research compares the economic success of industrialized countries such as East Asia and China to the developing countries such as Sub-Saharan Africa, with the key foundation being agriculture and policy reforms. It does this to show the predictors of whether a state will be developmental or predatory. The comparison is done by reviewing the parts of Asia’s economic state in the prewar and postwar conditions and their effects on policy formulation. For example, the article provides information on the importance of postwar and prewar industrialized impacts on agriculture. In turn, it proves through comparison how the handling of agriculture can make the biggest step in a country’s economic success.
The research does not provide any limitations experienced in the formulation of the research. The research seems complete in nature of the flow of information, and there are now clear challenges that can be pointed out from the article. Although the research appears to be without challenges, more information about the future on countries that do not rely primarily on agriculture for economic success should be provided. The research is a prototype of many perfect pieces provided by institutions.
The article presents the concepts of public management in indirect ways. It shows through evidence how government policies can be beneficial is well implemented. The aspect of policies that would favour agriculture such a technological backlog would revive the agricultural sector in undoubted ways (Grabowski, 2011). Based on this analysis, a few points can be taken home. We have learnt about the influence of technological reforms in realizing concentrated growth in the agricultural sector and how research is important in highlighting government policies’ effects.
To sum up, government policies are impartial to the country’s growth and development. Good policies emanate from good governance, which implies that when the policies are practiced, the state will experience growth in tremendous ways. If policies are not implemented, then it is like trying to level a plain ground. To ensure that the policies work out, researchers come forward to document the changes (Cox, Lowe, & Winter, 2019). it is more of sense that whenever people don’t question things, they don’t flow smoothly.
