Introduction
COVID-19 pandemic has impacted tremendously zoom, since its outbreak in 2019. The study in this paper is an argument based on part 1A. The pandemic is brought to have impacted video conferencing. In an adverse way and at the same time positively. The performance of zoom shall be elucidated, since the outbreak of the coronavirus.
Body
(Aguilar, 2020) The pandemic has forced many employees to work from their place of residence. This indicates that the organization’s had to stop. However, through video conferencing which is facilitated by zoom, the activities of the organization are ongoing. This is to say, there is an increased use of zoom since the outbreak of the pandemic. Initially, organizational meetings were done face to face. This has drastically stopped. (Mallis, 2020) The pandemic has bared was first experienced when the organizations across the globe were not prepared. Most of them remained stranded before they adopted zoom in holding meetings. However, the meetings may not be as efficient since there are nobody languages in the meetings. However, every organization must adopt this to curb the spread of the pandemic.
(Lueth, 2020) The central theme in adopting zoom in communication amid the COVID-19 pandemic is to curb its spread. Governments across different nations have discouraged social and physical distancing, and many organizations have heeded the call. The disease has, therefore, influenced the use of zoom in communication and turn, combating its spread. (Ring, 2020) Zoom has continued to increase returns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an increase in the users of the app amid the pandemic. Individuals and organizations have adopted zoom. Thus the virus can be said to have a positive impact on the performance of the company. Close competitors of zoom have therefore reduced returns including Google. The forecast of the company in case the virus persists is that it will have realized $500 million. This is a positive impact on the company. (Evans, 2020) Since the outbreak of the pandemic and the measures of lockdown set to control social and physical distancing, the users of zoom has immensely increased. In 2019, December, the company had only 10 million users across the globe. The number had hit 200 million marks by 2020, March. This is due to the measures set to mitigate the spread of coronavirus otherwise the company could not have realized all these drastic increases of users. It is expected that the number of users will continue to increase since more organizations and individuals are adopting zoom in communication.
Conclusion
In conclusion, COVID-19 disease has had a couple of impacts on zoom. The positive impacts take the lead. There is an increase in the number of users of zoom, and this has led to an increase in returns. Many organizations are adopting the app to facilitate their activities. This includes companies and institutions of learning.
