Good Faith
According to Fayyad (2013), good faith is simply a blanket clause under which courts develop fair and honest standards of behavior. Legal consequences resulting from the violation of this behavior, as described in the law is also meted out in the principle of good faith. The necessity of this law emerged even as issues of consumer protection was increasingly becoming significant in many countries.
- What are the main ideas expressed in topic materials
Some of the main ideas meted out in the principle of good faith include neither party acting deceptively or misleadingly, continuous and responsive communication between both parties, and availability of enough information before making final decisions. Principles in good faith also include being entirely honest, raising issues on time, and even treating others with respect
- What did you find most valuable, and what did you find confusing or needing further development? Why
The concept of honest and mutual standards from all parties has been the most useful for me. Indeed, good faith emphasizes honesty in all dealings, and this is very reassuring. Maybe the legal repercussions of failing to act in good faith are what needs further exploration and development.
- What ideas and suggestions for the theology, approach, strategies, or methodologies do you want to incorporate into your thinking and everyday practice? Why?
I want to incorporate the concept of willful and deliberate practice. Being intentional about everything I do will help me become a more responsible and reliable adult in society. It will also help me accomplish much more, as, with deliberate and meaningful effort, many great things can happen.
The Kingdom of God
The kingdom of God is the only unchanging, stable, and truthful foundation of our lives as Christians. Above all, we should ‘seek to serve and to inherit the kingdom of God’ because it is the only actual reality of life. As revealed in the scriptures, “…heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will remain.” We should place deliberate and consistent effort as Christians in embodying and chasing after the kingdom of God.
We are all the children of God, rescued and saved by his redemptive power when Jesus suffered for us all. Therefore, we should accept his gift of salvation, as pointed out in the bible. Indeed, as the word of God says in John 14:14, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We should generously accept the gift of salvation, the saving grace of God offered through his son for us. Amen, The Holy Bible (1986).
