Moderate depression
As per the case, it has been identified that Jennifer experienced “periods of moderate depression”. It was mainly due to her thoughts regarding the way she would run her family with poor savings, joining to work lately and reduced chances of receiving financial support from the “National Disability Insurance Scheme”. As per the comments of Bin Saeed et al. (2019), “psychological empowerment” is considered as a significant factor, which would assist in keeping people engaged in “creative work processes” and bolster the “effects of motivation”. Accordingly, if her friend and her children would have motivated Jennifer, then there it could be a chance that she regained strength to find solutions and overcome the situation rather than overthinking and getting into moderate depression. Jennifer’s friends needed to point her out the positive possibilities and ask her not to worry about negative situations. Her friends could have primarily assisted her by allowing her to stay with them until she gets a rental, which would have boosted her mentally, allowing her to fight the situation.
