Psychotherapy
Response 2
Your focus on both psychotherapy forms, that is, interpersonal psychotherapy and existential therapy has elaborated how both approaches offer help to patients with psychological issues. I support your choice of approach, that is, interpersonal psychotherapy. The fact that it helps in the treatment of major depression shows that it is a favorable method of approach (Tinsley & Wiersma, 2015). You have also stated that the interpersonal psychotherapy approach is supported and proven by various studies, and this shows how it is an effective approach in dealing with patients with psychological issues. Through your research, the reader gets to understand how both approaches relate and differ from each other.
Your research is also not one-sided. You have also stated the benefits of the existential therapy approach. By doing this, you have provided the reader with vast useful information about both psychotherapy approaches. Your choice of words in elaborating both approaches is also easily understandable to readers of all levels. Interpersonal psychotherapy is indeed more effective in dealing with patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as compared to existential therapy, although, this limits ITP to only focusing on a specific group of patients (Bleiberg, 2019). Finally, both fictional clients provide a clear insight into the psychotherapy approaches.
