Master’s education in Engineering will provide me with the practical ideas and theoretical concepts of engineering education. I will gain a significant focus on leadership and engage with industry experts after the completion of the course. Graduating with a bachelor’s of engineering is a significant accomplishment and a next step to celebrate a higher level study course to be achieved. I am ready to take action forward to my career world, where I will have a master’s in engineering as an educational degree. Pursuing a master degree will be a fence for my future career as I will become an expert in considering in-depth knowledge and passion in engineering studies. I will earn a degree while specializing in a subject and work on a career focus. The purpose of gaining a master’s education is to become an expert, head starts my career with a boom, make money, serve organizations, get experience, become a learner and secure protection for my career opportunities. I will have specific expertise which will increase my credibility and encourage me to focus within a particular field. This will surely improve my proficiency, and I will gain discipline and knowledge for my career prospects for emerging positions.
I will get a head start in my career while gaining a master’s degree and ensure as a leapfrog effect that will continuously improve my skills. I will attain a higher level position when I complete my master’s in engineering. I will be capable of achieving my job prospects while demanding a salary that will have a positive start to my career. Students with Bachelor’s degree are not compatible as they merely spent four years in learning the base in engineering and educational field. Master’s degree is a higher degree with excellent knowledge and topics that are additionally important for prospects. I will gain employment opportunities if I have a master’s degree. I will make it happen and consider a field of expertise which will directly help me to keep my employability skills on a higher basis.
I will get an opportunity by many companies to reimburse and work for the company while continuing my education. This is the best way to succeed in life, learning and educating. Teaching purpose and methods of learning
Teachers have helped me to focus on the major concepts that are important in a master’s degree. While pursuing a Master’s degree, I have got help from my teachers to gain knowledge and interest in several aspects. Teachers followed an original teaching style that helped me to highlight and focus on potential pitfalls. The important strategies that teachers used were to gain the attention of students and indulge in an excellent presentation. Teacher’s job was to engage students in different subjects, and I have improved by selecting my specific question and gaining an insight into personal development action. Teacher centred approach was adopted in learning as the major emphasizes was towards direct instruction to be provided to teachers and receive feedback through direct instruction and lectures. Therefore, the teaching purpose of teachers was to measure the level of performance of students and engage students for effective grades in higher studies. In the Master’s course, I have gained knowledge that teaching style and learning methods are equally important. As a student, I focused on an effective way of learning while gaining help from teachers, learning while researching and group discussions. Teacher centred approach is a direct instruction learning in which formal authority, personal model and expert knowledge were addressed adequately. Advanced technology was used in teaching method while learning was comfortable in this way.
With the help of teacher-centred methods, there was a direct connection with students to which it was highly referred to as a traditional teaching strategy. The purpose of teaching was to provide knowledge and engage the student in classroom management. This wasn’t only the teaching method, but the other way of advanced learning was highly effective. Programs and seminars were undertaken with sophisticated teaching styles so that the best tools were used in emphasizing the teaching style and gaining results. The idea of the flipped classroom was experienced in my class. I went through the essential aspect of learning by using the software in the school and recording videos and lectures. Implementing effective styles in teaching led to sharing ideas and engaging students with doing homework. I was delighted with this learning style as I learnt different concepts from the differentiated approach.

The two sections that were considered mainly were internal and external learning process that helped in review and process. The four themes of learning were highlighted, which seems to be cover the internal and external learning factors. The dimension of education is precise and is useful while examining the outcome variable, personal and contextual aspects of learning. There were new directions that were provided in the learning aspect to which these were addressed to be the most effective one as it helps in fostering the primary point of student learning pattern with quality aspect.
The learning pattern is focused and is a coherent factor that influences learning activities and tends to affect the beliefs and learning motivation towards a specified period. Learning pattern seems to be a learning motivation for students and engage in practical and regulative actions. The views, values and learning aspects that the teachers engage in student learning is reviewed positively. There was a series of studies that involved in learning styles and influence student learning patterns. As such, an integrative learning theory when adopted was a significant focus on external regulation and self-learning framework. The learning pattern is rooted with conceptions of growth and helped in advanced knowledge and actions. Therefore learning pattern then ensures as motivation and cognitive strategies of growth. The tradition of self-regulated learning was even applied, which seems that the students ensured in the exciting aspect of education and providing meta-cognitive knowledge. As far as learning pattern is concerned, learning has flourished in several directions. There is a broad array of cultural contexts that ensures learning patter with several learning styles. As an academic domain, computing and information system have critical importance. Computing and information system is worth the effort as it interests students and ensures career opportunities. An information system is a subsystem of computing and has a variant that explores the aligned aspect of growth in academics. With computers, several elements of lives match the growth and potential of opportunities in the computing field. The daily use of the equipment and digital services tend to influence the lifestyle of individuals. Computing is used in the workplace, health care, social networking, finance, etc.. Therefore, it is directly connected to society and economic growth. Individual projects are carried on with intellectual and stimulating environment that contribute towards the community and environment. Computer and information science is keenly associated with medial, and there are recommendations in the bioinformatics field while applying the principles at Netflix. Information systems in academic are essential as it has several subjects that are connected in computing. We have been provided library books and materials to learn to compute. In academic domains, computing ensures as a good starting point to engage in engineering concepts and focus on the relevant subject matter. With the use of sources, use of library books, theses, dissertations, conference proceedings and peer-reviewed journals, the importance of computing is understood. I have gained knowledge in the field and have selected civil engineering as the expertise subject.
The idea of professional and professionalism
I have gained the concept of professional and professionalism while studying the course as it has provided me with in-depth knowledge about the skills and the nature of computing used at the workplace. Currently, pursuing my master’s degree, I have learnt that computing will provide me future career options to which I will gain knowledge and money. Professionalism is a code of conduct that engages the attitude and behaviour of people at work. Professionalism is a key to workplace success to which individuals strive to engage in professional activity and ensure a high-level work ethic and moral standard for accomplishing a particular event or a task. Employers hire experts and professionals who have knowledge in computing and are dedicated to the work standard. Therefore respondents tend to identify the basic and essential aspect of professional element that best accomplishes the job duties and responsibilities. I have gained an idea of professionalism at work as it is necessary for growth and development. There are several ways to which professional ethics can be achieved. The ways to learn and practice professionalism are being productive, take initiatives, develop the positive image, maintain practical work standards, manage time, provide excellence, be resilient, demonstrate integrity and be a problem-solver. These are the significant attributes that help in engaging for a professional attitude and behaviour. Effective communication is one such way to maintain and develop professionalism.
Professionalism is highly connected to high-performance work standards in a line of work. Professionals expect accurate results due to expertise and familiarity of the core concepts that mainly contribute towards growth and development of the organization. Appearance is the first step which is critical in being professional. Basic dressing sense, hygiene, grooming, etc. are the essential steps that contribute towards professional behaviour at the workplace. On a higher note, I have an idea that a professional is accountable to the work he/she has been assigned. The common concept of professionalism is responsible at work while encompassing a significant aspect of growth. Therefore, the duties that a person has been assigned is directly in concern with the work satisfaction and employee performance criteria. Accountability is a significant element in terms of promotions and that help to set the bar for leaders and managers. Competence is viewed as the soft skill and attitude that engages in professional activity. The core aspect of the expert is to focus on the critical foundation of the job and to ensure a good fit. Professionalism deals with coaching and training for employees who deal in the day to day life.
Communities in computing
I have enrolled for a civil engineer which is one such community in computing. Civil engineers play a vital role in economic development and infrastructure. There are different communities in computing, such as computer engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, etc. These communities are the subject matters that have a clear goal for a student to select one such specific standard that engages student’s interest. Civil engineering is based on construction and infrastructure. To a significant level, civil engineers tend to ensure planning and overseeing the efforts of engineers in applying civil engineering principles. The roles and responsibilities as a civil engineer are to analyze the factors that provide construction projects, analyze the site, focus on investigation ad verify the significant aspect of location and growth. Civil engineers are responsible for investigating the website of construction and gaining knowledge in terms of investigation and development. The process of analysis and evaluation is then at a point where civil engineers implement the plan as decided for planning and construction projects. I have gained knowledge that there are specific projects that provide economic benefits to society and the overall economy. Therefore complete plans are to be prepared for effective results. Computing includes data analysis, data collection, data evaluation, data storage and data usability. These standards and elements are connected with the implementation of the project as it engages in practical work standards. Electrical testing, chemical testing and drafting designing are to be carried by civil engineers which I will learn in Master’s course.
Fundamentals of research
Fundamental research is even known as pure research or basic research. Immediate findings are not illustrated in the primary analysis as it engages in theoretical aspects of research. There is a desire to expand knowledge for particular research areas while working on fundamental analysis. As such, there is a specific contribution that ensures academic growth of the topic in terms of research area while making generalizations and gaining individuals growth in the business. I have worked for fundamentals of research in research projects and articles for the sake of expansion of knowledge in the engineering field. The study contributed towards several questions which are answered, such as why, how, and what are the contributions involved in the research topic. Fundamental principles tend to respond towards universal ideas and beliefs that suspects the relationship and outcomes of the research. The findings in the first study contribute to the value to society and the economy at large. There is a flexible time scale that is assigned for fundamental analysis which is essential and can be adjusted. The objectives of primary research are determined with the topic, dependent variable and independent variable.
Group work
I have understood the importance of group work as I have focused on assessing group work and have engaged in features of group work. The features of group work include group and size of the group. The group mostly indicates and implies towards accomplishing a particular activity wherein individuals interact with each other or be aware of each other’s work by acting. The size of the group matters in project completion or an event. The larger scale the group is, the managerial control is ineffective, and the goals are challenging to be achieved. More than fifteen group members are called large groups. There are organizational groups to which every person working in an organization is a part of the corporate group. The importance of regulatory group tends to understand the effectiveness of group work. Then, there are active groups which include atmosphere effectiveness. The atmosphere in the group can be informal, relaxed or comfortable based on the leaders and group members. This shows that more the group members are comfortable, the effectiveness of the group is higher compared to informal groups.
Everyone participating in a group ensures discussions and arguments; therefore, it leads to conflicts at times. There are a few hidden agendas that are expressed and felt by group members. Active groups listen to each other’s ideas and perception for a better decision making process. Active groups avoid disagreements and criticism. There occurs conflict when group members are not comfortable, and there is no criticism, but the nature of the member is frank and frequent. Decisions are made as per the consensus that helps to achieve common objectives of the business. Working groups do not face power struggles as the leader does not dominate and ensures agreed actions by group members. A leader is self-conscious and considers frequent examination that best effectively provides organizational results.
I have learnt that an ineffective group create trouble and tension in an organization. There are a few group members who are dominating the group and have aggression wins. The group members do not have a sense of fulfilling organizational objectives. All the time, there is constant judgements, and workplace management and control is not assured. Therefore, to use groups in the workplace, there are universal standards to be followed by a group leader. Effective use of distribution of work, management and control of work, collecting ideas, listening to group members, problem-solving attitude, decision-making skills, testing ideas, increasing employee engagement, liaison, commitment, an enquiry into past, negotiation and conflict resolutions are addressed for effective use of groups.
Communication of ideas
Ideas are communicated effectively while using verbal communication and non-verbal communication in the workplace. Communication skills engage employees to share ideas and perspectives for effective results. Communication is the soft skill that every group member should be aware and should know how to control the significant aspects at work. I have gained knowledge from working groups about the effective use of groups at workplace and communication skills. The ideas of engaging employees to achieve a particular set of the standard is effective as group members need a constant motivation and inspiration leader who communicates in the best possible manner. Communication of ideas will solve problems at work while calling a meeting or a discussion for specific group working. An assessment is conducted, which provides the grade for employees to work on particular standards and engage in employee performance. Peer weighting is submitted while assuming the total number of group members and measuring the productivity of each group member. This way, the idea is to engage group members in a particular situation by solving problems effectively.
Developing skills in argument, discussion and writing
I have developed expertise in cases while adequately considering viewpoints of others, different voices, justifying views and defence ideas. I try to understand contrasting views, analyze the position and then try to argue for my point of view. While learning the course, several aspects will help me in my future job. The argument is analyzed with claims, data, warrant, qualifier, backing and rebuttal. These elements were understood in lectures while emphasizing Toulmin’s argument model. I have learnt the language of argument such as on the other hand, however, considering, etc. These are the statements ensure some issues in a topic or a concept. The clarification regarding the data that has been gathered is presented by a person with proof and evidence while arguing on a topic. Specifying with the importance of grounds and database, words used to describe the argument are “since,” “if,” “when” and “where”. While specifying claims and position stance words such as “therefore” “then” and “so” are used mainly in such an argument. While arguing with a warrant and specific reasons and justification, words such as “because” and “since” are used. Discussions are, therefore based on topics that are relevant and need fundamental research to claim and provide literature. Writing skills include efficient research and specific format to be presented. Writing with an excellent presentation is particular to the writing criteria as expected from employers while filing documents.
Academic and scientific writing
Academic writing includes literature analysis and research based on the topic of interest. Several aspects need to be considered in academic writing such as error-free solution, avoiding plagiarism and providing practical solutions. Scientific literature is based on scientific concepts that have statistics and data presented in the paper. Scientific writing is a sophisticated writing type that includes knowledge regarding cause and effect and several scientific studies. I have therefore gained immense expertise in academic and scientific writing while understanding the base of the book.
Documenting work
Documentation includes preparing for papers that are important to be presented. Working in an organization, documenting work means making documents and documents that need to be presented in a meeting or are essential for the public. A proper format is followed in documenting work such as structure, line space, headers, etc. I have learnt how to document the work and papers while considering effective means of formatting and editing.
Working with information
Information is critical while presenting information in discussion, arguments or writing. Effective means of research and analysis tend to ensure the working criteria. Therefore, I have gone through research and analysis while presenting information that is clear and valid. Information can be collected while going through books, articles and reports. This seems that clear cut details will help to present data with evidence. I have learnt that information is a vital element to give any document.
Ethics of academic work, avoidance of plagiarism
Ethics of academic work includes avoidance of plagiarism. Copying someone’s work presents an issue and a failure. The arguments, information and statistical data when copied from one job and performing as own work is called plagiarism. Even paraphrasing other person’s written evidence and not giving acknowledgement is called plagiarism. There are reasons to which students plagiarize the work, to get better marks, easy access to material, lousy time management, unconsciously and students do not understand the rules. Cheating in writing and presenting another person’s work is not acceptable in academic writing. I have learnt these concepts while engaging and getting knowledge from lecture notes and rules of plagiarism. In educational programs, engaging with other’s writing is illegal, which leads to a failure of journalism. It is, therefore, essential to work and present ideas while analyzing the information and acknowledging the source of information. Plagiarism needs cheating and offering other’s paper. Consequently, it is significant to learn writing skills that engage the ethics of academic work. Practice in writing is essential, which gears up the writing process and presents its ideas conveyed to the public. I have improved in writing and consider avoiding plagiarism which presenting my thoughts in writing.
Avoiding plagiarism includes citing information, ideas, and gaining new insight into the research. Citing information in work is crucial as it engages common knowledge presented by a researcher while analyzing work and considering effectiveness in academic work. However, research work needs ethics and standards to be followed. Reports are forms of writing that include data, statistics and figures representing some concepts and topic. From the Master’s degree course, I have learnt to research, analyze, evaluate and present ideas in a particular format. I have gained knowledge of necessary writing skills, ethics in writing, format, structure, referencing, plagiarism, etc. These are important and are presented in the best way to ensure effectiveness in writing report or research papers. I am trying to learn different types of referencing style which will help me to present my data in the best form. There are several types of referencing style, such as APA, Harvard, MLA, Chicago, etc. Referencing style includes citing the source and presenting information about the author, date of publication, topic, source, etc. Referencing, therefore, contains as an ethical standard to be followed in writing purpose. Master’s course has consequently helped me to gain knowledge regarding future opportunities in the business while emphasizing writing, researching, referencing, avoiding plagiarism and presenting data with evidence. A common understanding of literature is presented in lectures and notes that I have studied in detail.
