C.DIFF COLITIS.
Introduction.
Clostridiodes difficile causes an infection known as C.diff colitis, which is the disruption of normal healthy bacterial, causing inflammation of the large intestine. The C.diff is often caused by some antibiotics. The signs and symptoms of the disease include fatigue, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and fever. C.diff is found in feces and is transmitted when a healthy person comes into contact with surfaces contaminated with bacterium or spores. The older adults are at higher risk of being succumbing to the infection due to high dehydration (Plaxe, S. C. (2017). Developing an antibody for C.diff colitis would be a vital tool to boost the immune and help save lives, especially the old and younger children (Stanley, J. D. (2016).
How do you determine if the drug will work?
There exist various methods in testing if a new antibody drug works. The following steps are used to test if the antibody for C.diff colitis works.
The antibody-drug will be tested using a computer program, and skin cells are grown by the use of human stem cells in the lab. This is essential t determine the efficacy and the possible side effects caused by the antibody drug.
If they pass the first test, the drug should be tested on an animal where a known dose of a drug is given to the animal, and the animal is monitored over a given period.
If the drug passes animal preclinical drug-test, it is then tested on human volunteers and the progress recorded to check if they are safe.
The drug is then tested on people with the C.diff colitis to ensure that they are also safe on sick people and also that it works.
How could the drug be improved?
To boost the drug, it is important to add vitamin C, which is very important in enhancing the immune response of the body. This is important, especially to children and the elderly (Plaxe, S. C. (2017).
The drug can also be boosted with vitamin b6, which an essential vitamin for the biochemical reaction in the immune response.
If a family member had C.diff colitis, would you advise them to take the drug?
No.
This is because the drug has not undergone preclinical testing to ensure that it has no diverse side effects or if it works.

C.dif colitis can be fatal, especially to the old and young people. It is advisable to use washing bleaches that kill the spores or virus when cleaning surfaces. When developing an antibody drug for C.diff, it is important to ensure it has undergone through the required test before being approved to be safe for treatment (Kastl, A. (2017).
