The positive outcomes linked to this program is the reduction of the number of persons suffering from mental illnesses as well as those struggling with chemical addictions (Gulliver et al., 2019). This is important in reducing the health burden placed on the government.

The challenges encountered in the implementation of this program is the lack of enough professionals to provide the health services in some areas. Also, the scarcity of funds in some states hinders the effective implementation of the program.
