Environmental Conservation On Economic Planning
It is important to note that economic development is not the only aspect that contributes to the quality of an individual’s life. Other determinants like environmental, social and financial aspect also play a significant role. Hygienic surrounding, clean water and air and fertile land and a steady supply of renewable sources of energy take part in determining the quality of life. The important consideration that will be discussed in this essay is the sustained economic development which can only be achieved through protection and conservation of environmental resources. Financial planning is determined by various environmental considerations (Sioros, 2000). Without a doubt, there are different elements that enhance fiscal planning which are, improving educational facilities, creating employment opportunities and as well as upgrading medical facilities (Romm, 2013)
For instance, food and water are vital for human survival hence economic prosperity of a country can only be achieved when its citizens have been properly fed. Crop cultivation is subject to different environmental conditions including pollution-free environment, climatic conditions, clean water clean air among others. This requires the environment to be conserved in order to realize economic productivity.
Human activities like manufacturing industries cause pollution to the environment. Proper planning on waste disposal is important in order to realize environmental conservation. There should be strict laws and policies enacted toward environmental conservation in order to realize economic growth (Petts, 2009). Conservation of the environment is vital to achieve economic growth in various sectors like agriculture, fishing and industries therefore, environmental conservation plays a major role in determining the economic plan of a country (Pets, 2009).
In conclusion, the industrial sector drives the country’s economy to prosper by increasing employment opportunities and improving the living standards. However, if the priorities of conserving the environment are ignored in planning the economy, the inevitable impact would be environmental disaster.
