 In modern times, people have taken into consideration about death with dignity or euthanasia. Several states and countries have crafted some laws about the issue allowing terminally ill patients to fasten an inevitable and unavoidable death. However, it has raised controversial debate from various quotas specifically from the church. Many religious beliefs match the ancient and traditional understanding of physical life’s final journey. However, in contemporary times, technology and advancement have raised issues for faithful to reconsider some of the existing beliefs actively. Death is a major thing that religion deals with, and faiths offer meaning and explanations about death and dying. Faiths try to find a place for both dying and death within human experiences. Religion view death as an important rite of passage to finding meaning in human life with dying perceived as an occasion for getting powerful spiritual understanding or insights. With these considerations, most religions hold on to natural death and disapprove of euthanasia. The Roman Catholic Church has actively opposed euthanasia among other religions. Religions assert those who become extremely ill deserve special care and protection with the proper end of life viewed as better compared to euthanasia. It is important to acknowledge that society has based its moral values on religion, culture, and philosophic concepts.  With euthanasia triggering controversial debate, it remains important to explore whether religion help clarifies or confuse serious reflection on the morality of euthanasia.

Religion raises confusion more than clarification on euthanasia morality. Irrespective of substantial facts laid down about euthanasia; religion confuses people on whether to accept or oppose due to morals values. Religion views death must be natural, and it is only God who has the right to take away a person’s life. In some instances, people suffer due to chronic diseases, and death is inevitable, and thus to save them the pain and suffering, euthanasia remains an option with laws outlining conditions for undertaking the procedure. However, religion halts the understanding of the process as people are worried they might not experience afterlife promises for taking their life. Faiths view those undertaking euthanasia murdering since only God should take life. Christians quote the Ten Commandments to support their position where God cautions people against killing human beings. In this consideration, it rules out suicide or euthanasia, subjecting people to confusion on decisions they should take irrespective of their loved one suffering due to pain before they can die naturally. In some instances, the health practitioners cannot undertake the wish of their patients to subject them under euthanasia due to their religious beliefs. The teaching of religion about morals caution people from committing some of the issues labeled as unethical, such as murder, lying, and adultery. Murder as an immoral act according to religion and culture teachings it complicates the decisions a patient, doctors, and loved ones should take irrespective of laws outlining conditions under which euthanasia can take place. The labeling of the act as immoral from the major institutions that define how an individual should act or behave in a specific

confuses people how to respond to instances that deserve euthanasia.

Religion holds that God created a man in His image, which makes him unique over other animals in the universe. Thus, his life should be protected irrespective of their conditions since upholding euthanasia is interfering with God’s plan. People are in a dilemma on the decision they should make regarding euthanasia morality with religion playing a huge role. With people understanding religious teaching about God and his role in the creation of man, conscious influence their decisions. They are in a dilemma despite knowing euthanasia might be the best for an individual.

In terms of clarity, religion outlines some of the issues that people need to consider before deciding on euthanasia. The religion clarifies the moral understanding of what is right or wrong, and the outcome of the decision an individual might take makes. Through the bible, Koran, and other books used n different religions, people get clarity on how they should behave or react to a specific situation such as upholding euthanasia. People have been provided by these books as it clarifies on issues that God forbids and even quote people n the bible or Koran who acted against and the consequences. For instance, after Cain killed his brother, he was punished by becoming unsettled in his entire life. Some of these clarifications have influenced the decision and perception people develop on the morality of euthanasia.

Euthanasia has been developed to save people from pain and suffering they might experience when death is inevitable. However, it remains a controversial issue between many people who hold varying opinions on euthanasia. Some people argues based on the money people spend as hospital bills and pain they experience to decide gentle death. Many people have to deal with consciousness where they hold God has power and can reverse their situation. They hold until the last minute as they wait upon the Lord to intervene in their situation. Moreover, religion teaching creates a situation where people might be unable to choose euthanasia since heir conscious is against it.
