The wife of Hobomok was sent to the mission of spying in determining whether there was some faithfulness in Massasoit or whether they were still planning to plot against the pilgrims as Tisquantum was claiming it. Hobomok was forming part of the tribe of Wampanoag in which the language was Algonquian, meaning they were people of the dawn, the book was feared very much by Indians such that they would leave very first when they saw him during any battle between them.
