Textile recycling
Textile recycling, reusing, and repurposing is very beneficial in minimizing environmental pollution. While the consumers are becoming aware of the importance of recycling, there is a need for the government, textile manufacturers, the public, and other stakeholders to put more efforts to attain a circular economy. In this regard, it means every individual has a responsibility to play in the fight against the textile industry, to achieve a circular economy. Fostering effective methods of reusing, recycling, and repurposing clothes can create numerous opportunities not only to the current generation but also to the future generation. For instance, formalizing recycling can create job opportunities, keep textile material from landfills, and preserve the environment. However, there is a need to adopt more innovate technology—such as RFID—to realize the most sustainable recycling methods.
