The documentary on “How I learned to read — and trade stocks — in prison | Curtis “Wall Street” Carroll,” the targeted audience seems to be detained individuals with inspiration irrespective of any gender, age but of low socio-economic structure that is almost losing hope in life. One can tell by how it relates to a journey with illiteracy that is from convicted criminals to changed entrepreneurs. The strategy applied by the author is how he delivers his lines such that the audience is hooked.  He utilizes the method to narrate the course of changing his illiteracy to achieve financial fortune by starting his investment. Also, the author uses narratives on his past personal life to attract the attention of the audience and turn them more reflective.

The authors select a topic for the talk by emphasizing financial literacy in which he defines it more from a lifestyle perspective as opposed to ability. The issue is vividly addressed by giving recommendations for managing finance that include; diversifying returns, living expenses, and borrowing responsibly.

The author takes account of the audience, location, and occasion by giving details that closely relate to incarceration. On the audience, the speaker tries to provide words that provide hope to detained individuals by personal reflection. The author seeks to give the prisoners the chance to rethink about their goals in life by adjusting their attitudes. However, the author should have made contact with other influencers in the industry for sharing the Ted Talk of the day. It could have also started by giving the topic and ideas in one sentence that would give the audience more eagerness to listen to the talk and participate in the center of the debate.
