The culture comprises youth as the most significant portion of the population. Moreover, older people constitute a small part of the community in Los Angeles. Most of Hispanics occurs as the roman catholic and their primary religion with 55%. 22% of them exist as protestants, while 16 percent persist as Evangelical Protestants (Pew Research Center, 2012). Moreover, the community possesses 18% of unaffiliated individuals. Most of the Spanish with few speaking English hence practicing values and customs of Spanish background (Wells, 2016).

Hispanics occupy about two-kilometer ways from our local church with few settlements around the church.

The Hispanics receive the gospel and accept it from different churches. Furthermore, reaching them with our church gospel occurs as less costly in terms of transport and accommodation. Similarly, a Church member can commute to and fro due to shorter distance unless those who live in the other part of Los Angeles. For such long distances, reaching them with the gospel would require accommodation arrangements.

African Americans

The youth make up the most significant percentage of the population. According to the Pew Research Center (2012), the majority o African America belongs to Christianity, accounting for 83%.  1% of this ethnic group belongs to Islam. On the same note, 59% of the population includes the protestants, while evangelical protestant accounts for 15% (Pew Research Center, 2012). Similarly, among the African American community, 3% persist as roman catholic while 11% occurring as unaffiliated. African Americans mainly speak English, which some of the African cultural practices such as polygamy (Forbes & Mahan, 2017). Equally, the African American possesses a high number of female as compared to the men.

Whites

Cultural identifiers:

Whites from the majority of the population in Los Angeles. With age below forty years forming a significant portion of the community. Most of their population practices Christianity. Christians with 70% while 24% comprise the unaffiliated group. Moreover, 29% of Christian persist as evangelical protestants, while 19% of the population accounts for mainline protestants (Sawe, 2018). On the same note, those who fall under roman catholic from 19% while Muslims constitute 1%.  Their cultural values include monogamy and individualism (Wells, 2016). In Los Angeles, the population of women exists as higher as compared to that of men. White enormously speaks English as their primary language.

The distance of the white’s populated area from the church is about ten kilometers, with some few individuals staying around the church.

 

 

Evaluation of extent of being reached with the gospel:

On reaching the populated areas occupied by the whites, the church must organize a missional trip on which it includes transport and accommodation. Since most of the church member understands as communicate in English, interaction with target population would face limited challenges.

Asian Americans

 

Cultural identifiers:

Among the Asian American population Christians makes up the largest population in terms of religion from Catholics and protestant background. The Korean Americans form the most substantial part of the protestants with 61%followed by Japanese and Chinese with 33% and 22%, respectively (Pew Research Center, 2012). Moreover, Catholics from about 19% of the Asian Americans population. However, 14% of the Asian American community falls under Buddhism, while Hinduism forms 1%. Finally, 26 percent of the population persists as unaffiliated. Wells (2016) asserts that the population possesses a variety of languages like Japanese, Chinese, and Hindu, with few individuals speaking English. The young generation makes the most substantial portion of the people with cultural values depending on the specific group.

The Asian American communities exist throughout Los Angel with various subgroups in specific areas. Most of the Chinese and Japanese live one kilometer away from the local church. Moreover, Buddhists and Hindus stay around five kilometers away from the church in a large population.

Evaluation of extent of being reached with the gospel:

Reaching this diverse group with the gospel would emerge as a tricky part in the missional church due to diversity in their cultural and religious system. For the Christians, it would be better, but the church evangelist would have and extra job for the Buddhists and Hindus. Equally, language issues could be a challenge while trying to reach this population with the word of God.

 

Cultural or ethnic group 5:

Native Americans or Indian Americans

 

Cultural identifiers:

Then the population comprises evenly distribute age gap among the youth and older people. Women form the most significant part of the community, with cultural values being maintained to those of traditional ones like believing in the Wakan Tanka spirit (Pew Research Center, 2012). As per Garroutte et al. (2014), recently, they incorporate some concepts of Christianity.

This ethnic group lives far from our local church at the end of Los Angeles hence isolated from most of the population.

Evaluation of extent of being reached with the gospel:

Since they speak English, interaction with them could be more useful to the mission church members. Most of the attempts fail to reach them with the gospel by various churches based on 5their cultural practices.
