Education is the systemic process of passing down knowledge either in a formal, informal, or non-formal setup. The purpose of attaining education is to ensure that someone is able to make decisive decisions and have skills in performing tasks related to what they are educated or trained in. There are variousw ays of acquiring education for instance: visual learning, verbal leaning, physical learning, social learning, logical learning and solitary learning. All these methods are aimed at ensuring holistic learning process that produces knowledge-acquainted people who are able to completely tackle and advance their lives. We have been learning and understanding how to properly utilize the information we acquire since the stone-age period; which has seen us advance from Neolithic tools to AI machines that we have. This is a clear indication that education is very important— or rather very vital to the human race.
Acquiring education has seen us not only advance forward as a world (both technologically and scientifically), it is also a key factor that has enabled us to improve the quality of life. Many developed nations are keen to provide the best education. It is without a doubt that nations that don’t value education much are still staggering to with very low GDPs, debts, and development. Education fosters economic development! Nelson Mandela, my personal hero, asserts “The power of education extends beyond the development of skills we need for economic success. It can contribute to nation-building and reconciliation”. A nation’s growth is directly affected by the level of education its people get. Education has a huge role in poverty reduction (Kudroli Foundation, 2019).
