Natural law
these are laws that are coherent and tend to dictate the moral conduct of people in society. These laws are ethically binding, and they are applicable in governing human nature, beliefs, and values.
Common Law
These are laws that emanate from court rulings, and they usually are applied in future lawsuits. They serve as a reference point to inform future decisions, especially in similar cases.
Criminal law
it governs the conduct of criminals, and they define how persons are arrested, detained, charged, as well as the prosecution of law-breakers.
National laws
These are laws that states use to govern their citizens. The classification of laws that fall under this category can be narrowed down to both constitutional laws and ordinary laws.
International laws
They form the basis of practising international relations. They are a set of laws that are applicable among nations.
