Nowadays, Facebook is used by almost all people from a school going student to highly positioned stakeholders or shareholders of large organizations to connect with others and to get the information they need. While lots of individuals adore Facebook Company for providing outstanding and flourishing services, concerns about information privacy breaches become most talked issues in the entire world. As Facebook not only store the history of its users, but with this it also stores Gmail queries, photos, files. One big or major privacy breach which Facebook face is where hackers attain details of lots of Facebook users.

Nowadays almost all users use desktop or a laptop and they surely use ad blocker tool like AdBlock in their respective browsers. Some users of AdBlock also state that due to this tool their information stored in the desktop or laptop has been stolen (Taylor, 2017). But both Facebook and AdBlock has always denied the fact and they always stick to their statement that they never ever use any personal information of its users such as their emails, and addresses, but instead of all these statements they also agreed to pay a big fine for privacy breaches. One another privacy issue with Facebook is that hackers transmit unsecured or unprotected information and Facebook was also scolded by regulators of United State for breaching information of users (Taylor, 2017). As regulators believed that it was very much unethical to store anyone’s information. Some of the employees of Facebook were fired because they use to harass small children they met through technology. Hackers use emails and personal chats to harass children. Facebook also included some more features on Facebook for its users. Several users of Facebook said that they feel that these features of Facebook are really commendable and they were completely satisfied with these new features, however, they also claim that these features could not protect them from data breaches and privacy issues.

Under United State rules and regulation, Facebook Company has forced to completely hand over such type of information or data about users such as phone numbers and address of a user to a government of the United State (Olugasa, 2013).

Several issues of privacy were not against the rules and regulations, however, when they collide with ethics it was surely proved unethical. There are few solutions that help Facebook to resolve privacy breach issues. First one is that Facebook Company stop storing delicate data about its users such as credit or debit card details, addresses, and phone numbers (Babad & Lubitch, 2011). Not completely because there are several other users, which take benefits from this service only for those who don’t find it good. Despite such issues, Facebook remains a best as well as most visited websites and lots of users are using this website. Facebook must use some advertising campaigns for employees of Facebook Company to educate them more about how they take care of user’s data more effectively as well as efficiently (Minano, Fernández Aller, Anguera & Portillo, 2015). One more solution to overcome privacy breaches is actions to update privacy policies and procedures to maintain the privacy of user’s information.

Conclusion

Considering both negative and positive aspects of Facebook Company it has been recommended that the best solution for Facebook is that they must update their privacy processes and policies and this will definitely help them to solve several problems related to information privacy. These policies and procedures should focus to check that only authorized and trusted individuals or users get access to delicate or sensitive information as well as if any type of information is saved this must be done only with permission of the user. Also, users should always have the authority so that he/she must update their information which is already saved in Facebook and a user can perform any type of action such as addition, deletion and updating of information. This will surely be an appropriate and suitable solution for all Facebook and other companies’ users and also for the company.
