Introduction:

Globalization has a huge impact on modern business organization. It has opened a new path for the business organizations to reach to the large number of global consumers. Business organizations are now a day not restricted to operate their business in the local market. They can easily earn huge profit by providing their products and services in large scale. The advancement of technology and globalization has strengthened the structure of the business organizations. It has put significant impact on the organizational behavior as well (Luthans, Luthans and Luthans 2015).

The following article has discussed about two organizational behaviors that are the results of globalization. The primary objective of the research is to provide vivid idea about the positive and negative effect of globalization on modern business organizational structure.

Impact of Globalization on Organizational Behavior:

Organizational Behavior:

Organizational behavior is considered as one of the most important part of the organizational structure that plays major role in the growth of every organization. Organizational behavior includes the leadership skills and qualities of the organizational management, behavior and performance quality of the employees, organizational governance, and human resource activities of the organization and so on. In order to reach to the desired position in the industry, every business organization needs to shape their organizational behavior, as the performance of the employees as well as organization is highly dependent on the organizational behavior (Nahavandi et al. 2013).

Globalization has put significant impact on the organizational structure as well as organizational behavior. Some of them are positive and some of them are negative as well. In order to achieve huge profit level, many business leaders are using these opportunities in a negative manner (Wheelen and Hunger 2017). The impact of globalization on the organizational behavior is as follows:

Globalization and Leadership:

Globalization has a huge impact on the leadership of the business organizations. Due to globalization, the diversity in the workforce has been increased. Many people from the different countries are being employed by the employers every now and then. The leaders need to connect with all their team members equally. They need to communicate with their subordinates, guide them about the organizational goal and objective and working style of the organization. Due to cultural and language barriers with many employees, the leaders now a days often fail to lead their team in an efficient manner (Bolman and Deal 2017). It has affected the holistic development of the organization. Cultural difference and language difference often stimulates misunderstanding and miscommunication between the leaders and their team members. As the employees belong from different cultural background, they all have different kind of attitude and psychological state. The way of approach is also difference for each of the employee. The same method to communicate and train will not work for every employee of the organization. Thus, it leads the leaders to face many challenges every now and then. It is often evident that the idea shared by the leaders is not accepted by their team members. It will generate a communication gap between two of them and put negative impact on the performance of the employees, as it is not possible for the leaders to learn different ways of approach to address each of the employee of the organization (Siegrist 2016).

Unsupportive Working Environment:

It is often evident, in order to earn huge profit by providing large number of consumers to every corner of the world, business leaders create immense pressure on their employees. Employees are forced to perform out of their limit. This affects the performance level and capacity of the employees (Clegg, Kornberger and Pitsis 2015). This is harmful for the organizational growth as well, as sometime employees fail to perform efficiently due to immense pressure. At the same time, it affects the relation between the employees and employers as well. Employers fail to maintain healthy relation with the employees, which leads the organization to face an awful consequence. By creating pressure upon team, the leaders may earn short-term benefit, but it will ruin the desire of earning long-term benefits, as employees are key strength of the every business organization and success of the organization is highly dependent on the performance of each employee of the organization. Hence, by destroying their capability, the organizational management is welcoming a real threat for the organization. Although, it is important to meet the increasing demand of the local as well as global consumers for the organization, by pressurizing employees the organization will not be able to provide high quality performance to their potential consumers. In such type of organization, employees will always possess the fear of discrimination, demotion, which will affect their performance level in negative manner. These factors need to be highly considered by the organizational hierarchy while designing their organizational structure (Hirst, Thompson and Bromley 2015).

These two types of behavior discussed in the previous section of the modern business organization are not acceptable under any circumstances, as it will put long-term negative impact on the organization and its growth. The performance of the employees is highly relied on the leadership skills of the employees and employees are the key elements of the business organization. Thus, it can be stated that these are an integral part of the organizational growth. Globalization has influenced the organizational leaders to adopt these strategies to earn huge profit within a short term which may restrict the growth of the organization for a long time by enhancing its internal turbulence and conflict (Knox, Marston and Imort 2016).

Conclusion:

As per the previous discussion, it can be concluded that along with many benefits of globalization there are some negative impact as well that may lead the organization to face deadly conclusion. The organizational leaders of modern business organization must observe the importance of leadership within an organizational structure and importance of experienced and efficient employees in order to earn long-term organizational goal. They must design their organizational structure accordingly, as to battle against the rival companies and any kind of external challenges it is important for every business organization to avoid internal conflict and ensure healthy and peaceful working environment for the employees.
