From the readings, it is clear that most of the countries are introducing policies to curb immigration. Immigrants from minority groups are treated as unwanted because, since the end of slavery, they cannot offer free labor. Immigrants are blamed for global capitalism, and anyone found without the required documents to reside in a foreign country is detained in immigration detention, and others are taken to prison for petty crimes. In the United States, prisons are a political concern with a tremendous political moved made to privatize the prison industry complex. Black people are imprisoned, and they are used to offer free labor in the name of working to get the resources required in prison. Even when a black president was sitting in the white house, black people were still over-exploited because most of the jails are private businesses, and the government has no right to interfere with their operations.
The dominant races are controlling the movement of the population globally to create room for them to uproot native people from their lands and take their properties which will force them to work for capital to survive. With more people working for capital, labor will be cheap because of the competition to get jobs. Most of the people moving to other countries in search of employment are people from minority races, and when they move in large numbers, the dominant races take advantage of that to get cheap labor. When the dominant races realize that immigrants are not of any significant use, they discard them and most end in prisons or immigration detention centers. The anti-immigrant policies imposed are meant to make sure immigrant workers are controlled and disorganized. This move is intended to make sure the immigrants are divided to make it easy for the dominant races to conquer them because if the immigrants are given a chance to see they have a lot in common, they will join forces and it will be hard to conquer them.

Different countries have different political moves to control racialized communities with the prison industrial complex in the United States being a good example. Imprisonment in the United States is privatized, and most of the people in prisons are racialized people who are living in the United States to earn a living. The primary purpose of colonialism was capitalism, and the white settlers forced indigenous people out of their lands to dispossess them and to force them to work for capital.
Discussion 2
Even after the end of colonialism, slavery and other exploitation of humans eras, black people have not gained their freedom because of political moves taken by different countries. In countries where black people are the minority, they are discrimination and prejudice. For example, in South Africa, black poverty was expected to end with Apartheid, but it seems like it is even worse. Immigration is essential for the production of global capitalism because the undocumented immigration makes immigrants vulnerable and to protect themselves from being separated from their families through detention and deportation, they cope with the terms for working for capitalists at a cheaper fee.

Immigrants of color are criminalized, and they end up in prisons and immigration centers, which separates them from their families. This is a way for dominant races to discard people of color who are not useful to them. Prisons and detention centers are used to cover up the exploitation of people of color. To conquer immigrants, dominant races make sure they are disorganized and controlled to avoid them joining forces to resist the treatment they receive.
