U.S. History and its role in the world
Introduction
The history of the United States of America captures the Al-Qaeda terror attack beginning in September of 2001. The attack started after the U.S. forces killed the Taliban, who was believed to be the head of the Al-Qaeda. To counter the loss, the terrorist planned for an act of revenge and attacked American Airlines in the World Trade Center of New York. The terror led to massive loss of lives as the Trade Center had several people working from the place. When it became clear that the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden had launched a war against the Americans, the Us troops were sent to Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. However, there was an irony during the fight in a sense the Al-Qaeda troops sourced ammunitions, and other fighting equipment’s from the American states.
Eventually, the Al-Qaeda troops were defeated, and therefore they resorted to calling for a retreat. This happened as a result of the difference in capability among the two nations. History tells that American troops were more equipped since they had strong reinforcement from their country. Similarly, America is a super-powerful nation that could not be defeated since they had all the essentials to protect themselves as well as to fight the Afghanistan terrorists. However, some issues can be projected in the coming future, which is related to America’s status of being the world’s superpower. In the event of the war, it can be deduced that the U.S. was putting into consideration the foreign policies that had been formulated before the attack foreign policies. Such systems had an impact whose magnitude covers the entire globe. The policies also capture the role of the united states in the world. These roles together with the future challenges concerning the U.S. status are discussed as follows;
Firstly, U.S. nations play a primary role in maintaining world peace through foreign policies. Among the four objectives of the foreign policies is promoting world peace. The American troops who were fighting the Al-Qaeda had the goal of achieving peace in the long run. The Al-Qaeda, in that event, had been a prolonged compromise to the peoples’ peace. Hence the Americans were fighting against them.
Secondly, Americans are aimed at establishing democracy in world nations. During the Afghanistan war, the policy of freedom within the world nations was another goal which the Americans were interested in putting into consideration. The Taliban and Osama had, for so long, compromised the peoples’ democracy by hiding the Al-Qaeda who were a threat to their peace. When the American troops stepped in, they first killed the Taliban, who was their head before proceeding with their overall objective.
A future challenge that can be projected at present concerning the status of the American nation is the issue of dominance. If the world nations keep watching America as their rescue during a crisis, there is a possibility that they will have total dominance over the world nations.
From the research above, it can be concluded that the U.S. nation is super powerful and can counter difficult situations that come their way. Seemingly, the Afghanistan terror attack is one the most difficult since they experienced a massive loss of lives as well as property. Similarly, the nation has the capability of dominating over the world nations in the near future, if the world does not take a vigilant observation.
