Discussion
Impacts of visual effects in music
Visual effects are used to describe any imagery created, altered or enhanced for a film or any other media that cannot be accomplished during live-action shooting. These effects can be created by various software like the Adobe After Effects, among others (Andrew, 2013). These visual effects usually have ethical impacts on music promotion because of multiple reasons. Firstly, these visual effects make a scene appear more realistic, and this makes many people get attracted since people prefer reality than fiction and fantasy. Through the impact of reality brought about by visual effects, music is promoted quickly and efficiently. This is achieved through the incorporation of surrounding things that people interact on a daily basis to the music, and this gives the music a real picture of the surrounding. Thus music is promoted (Eldar et al., 2007). These visual effects also help create a stunning and original look for your music through the use of Computer-generated imagery which allows you to do more than ever before, and this makes your music more attractive and catchy. Through this, music will be promoted since good looking things attract most people. Through regular use of visual effects, the artist is highly exposed to various types of visual effects and how best they can use them. This exposure makes the artist even more creative in preparing their music to make sure that it fits best in the kind of visual effect that they desire for particular music. Through the creative gained, better music is produced and of good quality since music its all about quality. As a result of this, music gets promoted securely. Visual effects play a crucial role in promoting music where it helps steer away artist from more costly decisions. This is because it only focuses on your budget and will not stretch you to a limit you can’t meet where if your budget is not in a position to cater for all the requirements, your editor can easily make use of filters that will not only make your music look attractive but also unique. Through this, music can easily get promotion since you will not have stretched your budget too much over things you cannot afford and in the long run, your music will still stand to be unique unlike that of other individuals. The use of visual effects will promote music where Bluescreen effects will help do so much with your footage, and this will make it possible for you to replace the backdrop in post-production where it superimposes your main subject in front of a high video wall (Branham, 2013). These visual effects will also ensure that your face is captured throughout the entire period, and this makes not only your music getting promoted but also you as an individual. Most audiences prefer seeing the artist of the music more often than just focusing on the music itself. This helps music get promoted easily since people easily master faxes unlike words and any other time they see your face in new music they will automatically fall in love with it since your face is still in their mind. Through this, music can be promoted. Visual effects in music help you concentrate more on the important moments through the mini-feature film, and this makes sure you stick into the content of your song and do not deviate into other unnecessary moment and stories thus your music can easily be understood and this makes your music get easily promoted through the impact created by visual effects.
Performer dressing on stage is another factor that can promote music promotion. The performer on stage should wear clothes that he or she is comfortable with and will not interfere with the performance. It is preferred that black clothes are the best when doing a musical performance since your audience will only focus on your music and are not interrupted by your dressing. For instance, the Orchestra players are always in black clothes, and this makes the audience give their full attention into listening to the content of your music and not how you are dressed (O’Sullivan, 2009). Based on the audience, you want to capture your attention to dressing can take a different model where, for instance, if youths are your target audience, the dressing will be a major consideration. In addressing such an audience, the catchy dressing will be appropriate.
Music sold by a vision
Currently, vision has proved to be the greatest sale for music where most people attend concerts where they have to buy tickets which are most expensive depending on the level of the artist. These tickets are usually set at a price of around two thousand the highest for the VIPs and regular at a thousand shilling (Dobson, 2010). Even though people can sit at the comfort of their houses and just listen to the same music, they rather prefer seeing it being performed rather than listening. Through this, music will be highly sold through seeing and watching the artist perform their music. These have been the benefiting platforms for various musicians where just a single concert they make a lot of money that will even help them finance their next upcoming music and thus the music industry is greatly improved. The musicians are also invited on various occasions, and this attracts so many people who attend the occasion not majorly because of the occasion but because of the artist who has been invited. Most people believe in seeing than just listening, and through that urge of seeing the artists perform music is sold. Music is also sold by seeing where most people now purchase CDs where they just watch from their homes as the artist perform their songs. Due to presence of these CDs, you find that whenever a new song is out in the market, your audience is so delighted to watch it and through that, they will have to buy your songs and through that music is sold (Rodman and Vanderdonckt, 2009). Some people are also so attracted to your songs that they set your songs to play as size tunes where they have to pay for it and thus music is sold by hearing and also seeing.
Audience use vision to find music.
Currently, in the music industry, the audience is using vision to find music where different platforms are used like Facebook, Instagram, among others. These platforms are mostly are used by different audiences and more so the youth where they see new updates about new upcoming musicians and their songs. The audiences also use youtube platform where they stream live the music as they are being performed right on stage and through the use of vision audience are able to find different music which they are interested in (Latham et al., 2014). Through the vision, different apps have been installed in phones and other electric devices where they can access any kind of music or any musician around the globe. This has been facilitated where the musicians share their music in various platforms and through that audience is able to find the music of their choice.
Innovative methods that lead the audience towards music
Various innovative methods are being used to lead the audience towards music; for instance, the use of body language. This method involves how the artist stands, smile or even move and this attracts the audience where they are more to see how the artist behaves or uses his appropriate body language to communicate and through it the audience is attracted towards the music (Grocke and Wigram, 2006). The ability of the artist to imitate different voices will lead the audience towards music where they will be driven by that ability of the artist, and through that, they will be led towards listening or even watching the music. Humour is yet another innovative method that can lead the audience towards particular music. Every individual desire laughter and joy and the humour incorporated in various music by various musicians tend to lead many individuals to such music. Especially during moments when a person is depressed such a humorous song can act as a medicine to their soul sand, their stress can easily vanish. Though this method, different people will be led to such music, not only when they are depressed but only for general pleasure. Emotional appeal is another innovative method that is used by musicians, and this attracted the audience towards listening and also watching the music. This is because the artist expresses his emotions in such a way that the audience feels it, especially through life telling a story (Walker, 2007). This innovative method helps many individuals get attracted to your music since your expression of emotions makes the audience sympathize with you since your way of expressing emotion influences their feeling automatically, and this will make them to always desire to listen to more of your music each and every moment you release a new song. Use of symbolism in music is another innovative method that will attract different audience towards your music. This is because your music uses words like smiles and metaphors where this language is able to hide information which is not good, especially for young children. This will lead to privacy in your song, and understanding of the song will be only for the target audience, especially the adults for this case. This will have maintained morals among the children since they will not be in a position to understand the contents of the song. Through the use of this method, your target audience will be attracted to your music. Captivating presentation of your performing stage setting is another innovative method that can attract your audience towards your music. This is achieved where during a performance, your stage is so captivating and well lit so that every person in your event is lively. This is promoted by the use of different light colours that make the performance stage so colourful, and through this innovative method, your audience will always get attracted to your music. On the same note, your use of dancers who perform differently unlike those of other artists will make many individuals get attracted to your music since everybody desires something unique and this will help capture the attention of so many individuals. The dressing is also another innovative method that the artist can use where he or she can come up with dressing code that is unique and crazy in its own way, and this will lead most of the audience to your music since your dressing code is what attracts them most and they will even attend your concerts or even download your music just to have a look on how you are dressed (Warner, 2017). Through your dressing, they will be attracted to your music.
Conclusion
The music industry has been a quickly developing area where it’s moving from just listening to watching. Various platforms like Youtube have been installed where one can stream online and view any kind of song they are interested in. Visual effects have also played important roles in the music industry where they make music look more realistic than just being fantasy, and this has helped music get promoted easily. Music has also proved to be sold more through a vision where artists come up with CDs of their songs, and this makes the audience purchase these CDs since they want to see how the artist performs his or her song than just listening. It has also shown that through concerts which are prepared by various artist attract so many people will even pay a lot in order to watch the performance of the artist in reality. Use of various innovative methods like crazy dressing code among others lead your audience towards your music, and through that, your music is promoted.
