Poetry as Art
Art can be in many forms, such as poetry. I would choose poetry any day. The more poetry I read, the more I find poets as dubious and ridiculous in that poetry is a difficult mission in itself. Yet for many poets, writing is a creative art that comes from within. Poet as art can be a pleasant experience in that its different from other literature in ways that are expressed, written, how it sounds the way its imaginary commandeers the perceptive organs of it readers
Poetry can be useful as it helps us understand and get a grip on the world around us. Its strength lies in its capability to ignite our innermost fears and truths and teaches us how to live. If we let it and embrace it, it can bring out the empathy in us. It serves as a counsellor helping us to understand one another, leading us away from violence and hate.
Poetry as art has impacted my life in that I get to take things from a different perspective. It makes me feel that I am never alone, and I can share my grief, pain and joy through writing and reading poems.
