Effective Team

Team effectiveness is the ability a team possesses to achieve the targets or aims administered by a permitted staff or firm. To sustain this requires continuous modernization and findings of better application (west, M.A.,2012). Teams differ in the duties they tackle, the circumstances they work in, and their integration. In teamwork, teams must adjust to the challenges within them and external. I have been a member of a capable team and which had the following characteristics:

We ensured that communication with each other was well. It included open communication, sharing our thoughts and opinions, giving our ideas with team members, and considering what others said. This is because communication is essential for keeping track of progress and working energetically on task. Poor communication means that the job will be left incomplete.

Our team absorbed on goals and results. We agreed on our set goals based on outcomes and results rather than the amount of work being done. We had a clear plan on what to achieve as a group, and individuals as well made it easy. It provided a comprehensible direction and something to aim for consecutively.

We ensured that everyone contributed to their fair amount. Members had a uniform amount of work and realized our duties. It gave each member sense of belonging to the team. This made everybody committed to working and caring about our organization. Each member received the necessary support and was happy about it. Individuals need a helping hand in every task they undertake.

Good leadership made it compelling. Simply because a strong team has a leader, they can trust and respect. Our leader worked as the glue, held our team together, set a definite pace, encouraged and motivated each member, and kept them updated. The leader understood the uniqueness of each member. This enabled us to share our experiences and knowledge, which was different because of our diversities.

This team succeeded because of psychological safety, which revolved around feelings of security and trust within our group. Dependability,  where we were able to rely on one another and trusting that work will be of high quality. Our team was clear on the goals, roles, and responsibilities of each person. Finally, our team worked on something pleasant at an individual level. Research divulges that there is, infact, an intellectual basis to teamwork; team perception has powerful, helpful associations to team conduct and inspirational conditions(Dechurch,2010). It makes the team successful.
